I am using Caltar II-N lenses for my 8x10 C1, the Caltar II-N 360 and 240 (made by Rodenstock). Both of these take enormous filters both front and rear. The front thread on the 360 is 112mm and the 240 is only slightly smaller. I have the compendium hood and that has a slot on the side that I can slide a filter into. A 4"x4" gel is actually not as large as the filter ring. It is larger than than the glass surface, but just barely. And, not sure how I would guarantee the filter was positioned properly over the lens using the compendium with such tight tolerances. Anyone using rear filter holders with these lenses? They're huge in back, too. Looking at the rear, I am not sure that the depth of those rear filter holders will work here.
Does anyone else here have these lenses and what filters are you using? Primarily I am shooting b/w, so really just after a few filter choices like yellow, red, yellow-green.
Thanks for any advice.
