Kodak no longer speaks for the future of the industry. This is a thread about Film Ferrania and all of the really cool stuff they are doing to try to save color film for the long-term, starting with transparency film. It's a gargantuan challenge. But Ferrania is willing to climb into the arena and tackle that challenge, with no guarantees of success. Kodak isn't.
Even more cool, Ferrania themselves have briefly shown up on APUG. Even if they never make another post, they weren't afraid to stop by and say thanks for our support. That tells me a lot.
So how about we just stop talking about Kodak entirely? That would fix the negativity problem. I mean, if the current topic in this thread has everyone really excited about Ferrania's attempt to resurrect an E-6 film for us all, then Kodak is totally irrelevant to that topic anyway, right?
Therefore I might propose that from now on we just keep the focus on the "man in the arena who strives" and forget about Kodak. No need to bash them regarding film at all. Not anymore...
I see $277,204 from 4,875 and still rising with exactly 12 days to go, with eight new rolls of E-6 film thus assured to be heading my way at some point. I'm smiling. How about you?
Go Ferrania.
