To me, P30 is more like Adox HR-50 (modified Aviphot 80). Both are contrasty and with very fine grain. P30 is blue-biased and HR-50 is red-biased.
As a side note, did anyone try the new Ferrania Orto?
I don't know about this. Took a picture of roadsign with a blue background. Rendered blue darker.
And look at that stairwell pic I posted above: clear, sunny day and skies aren't blown to hell, so it makes blues darker.
Now where on this forum was that P30 shot with multiple colors and a girl in the middle? That's a fine insight what to expect from this film, interesting performance.
Ferrania tested the film with Kodak D-76. The importance of a water pre-bath (2-5min) was stressed.
One of their distributors discussed it in an interview (in Italian).
talking to yourself
Have they published those tests and characteristic curve in a publicly accessible place?
Talking to future self or past self gets an exemption. Not at all the same as talking to present self (Isn't it? No, it isn't).
I did and nothing but Kickfarter level marketing BS was present.I haven't looked; I have not used the film.
That's contradictory at best. Have a look at this: https://assets.website-files.com/62...b54a8223370f9a83543_P30_Best_Practices_v3.pdfFerrania tested the film with Kodak D-76. The importance of a water pre-bath (2-5min) was stressed.

Meanwhile I'll salute the rest of the manufacturers who are competent enough to consistently provide
It's OK to enjoy even Astrum/Tasma!
