I’m looking to buy a RB67 off eBay from Japan. I’m thinking more than one of you has gone this route anything I should watch out for?

I've bought from known, reputable dealers in Japan and they are marvellous, including little trinkets in the package chiefly origami, chopsticks, placemats, flavoured KitKats and extremely polite, well-written (not Chinglish!) notes of appreciation. OK, all beside the point, but just to mention. How much do you know your RBs, and how adept at you at assessing risk of what is listed on eBay? There are indifferent, careless dealers in Japan too, and these can often be zeroed-in with sloppy, poor quality descriptive photographs, failure to note faults or servicing, incomprehensible Chinglish and even more mangled replies to Buyer emails.

KEH has a Pro S and a Pro SD listed now, plus lenses and backs. They do have a warranty and it's not overseas. Maybe give them a call?

No, it's perfect, elegant, extremely neat and considered writing. I venture to suggest the Japanese sellers I have had long dealings with have better english and grammar than a lot of people I hang out with!

I bought a a 65, 180 and a 250 for the RB from Japan. There were all exactly as described, if not better.

I've purchased several lenses and bodies from Asian sellers. Check their feedback for 100% or darn close, and if they offer 14 day return guarantee. I've not had to return anything yet, and everything so far has been beyond my expectations. Shipping charges via EMS are not cheap, so take the total price into consideration.

Never had an issue buying from Japanese ebay dealers. Just make sure they are reputable with good feedback. I've bought a Mamiya 6 50mm lens, RZ67 film back, lens hoods. No problem. Usually very good prices. GO for it.
