DSLR Loupe as a Large Format loupe?????

Would one of these loupes designed for making videos in dslrs make a good loupe for large format? some are terribly expensive but there are some really cheap, they are around 3x... what do you say?

What is your budget? I bought one but i am not sure if it is very good one to use as i didn't use it yet, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive as well, reasonable price.

But a cleaning system kit, i have one that came with a loupe, so instead i spend on just a loupe i will have some additional tools/kits with it.

That DSLR loupe is a widget which goes on the eyepiece? If so, no, it almost certainly will not focus on the groundglass of a largeformat camera.

I have a Zacuto loupe for DSLR-video (it focuses on the LCD screen, not the eyepiece), and it is focusable and works on the groundglass, but it's around 2x or 2.5x, which is a little less than I'd want for groundglass viewing. 4x is ideal, but sometimes I use the Toyo/Omega 3.3x because it's longer and works well with a folding hood (like on a Graphic or Linhof), and I use a 6x with the 2x3" Technika, just because the 2x3" negs will be enlarged more than a 4x5" or larger neg.

How about giving this one a test? It is almsot $5, you can always buy another one if it is damaged or even buy another brand if this one doesn't work good.

The cheapest ultra-high-quality option is an old 35mm or 50mm lens. There are plenty of f/2 lenses in defunct mounts that can be had for $10-20 that will be as sharp or sharper than any loupe you can buy. The main drawback is that they're pretty big and heavy. Once you have one you're happy with, you can glue a bit of PVC pipe to the back to hold it about the right distance from the GG.
