Hi There,

I want to pick up a box Agfa MCP premium semi-matt RC paper. Can someone please tell me if it's the fiber or resin coated that fogs with prolonged storage ? The price is right, and it will be good to use as a practice paper as I learn.

Agfa numbers work like this:

1 is fiber
3 is RC

Not sure what the middle 1 means if anything.

0 is glossy I think
2 is satin or whatever they call the non glossy

So 312 is RC satin.

It's a good paper. Even at prices higher then Ilford it's a good paper.

Concerning fogging, there's (there was a url link here which no longer exists) in which somebody reported long-term storage tests of a couple of Agfa and one Ilford papers. The results were that the Agfa papers did fog, but the Ilford one didn't, at least not in the time frame of the test.
