Here's a few quick pics. It has a very small dent on hood and some wear on both sides of hood which looks like it may have been a camera strap rubbing when hood is closed.

Very nice. Congratulations! You certainly didn’t get scammed on that purchase.

It doesn't matter what the seller states regarding returns, eBay makes them accept returns and refunds. "Not as described or advertised" claim and eBay takes over.

Having bought and sold on Ebay for around 20 years, I was aware of this, but actually have never had to use it. Would you
really want the possible hassle and delay of going through Ebay if it could be avoided ? Particularly in view of the other Red Flags in this case......I also see that the seller has no other items listed ?

The nonsense in the description sounds as if it's going to come with a Rollei quick release plate. As far as the "red flags" mentioned in the thread go, none of them would particularly put me off. It's always easy to think up a test question to ask the seller, if their feedback is just low: negative feedback is another matter.

I used the feature one time, eBay refunded my money fairly quickly and issued a pre-paid return label.

One second a little slow but a fairly accurate meter from what I can tell or maybe 1/2 stop off.

So you have to add on the cost of a full service if one second is off, which also means all the slow speeds are off. That adds $200 or more to the bargain find doesn't it? One way or another eBays bargains rarely turn out to be real bargains.

True, using simple arithmetic. But if one is buying a bargain with full intent to bring it back to full functionality for years of future use then it’s a reasonable approach. A couple of years ago I bought a camera for $80 plus shipping that generally sells for about $400. It definitely needed overhaul as it dated from 1950’s. I paid $160 for the overhaul and have no regrets. It’s still a bargain as my intent was a solid reliable user. What is a “bargain” after all?

I do them myself, so it's just my time. Besides these are always off a little even after a cla.

I would never buy anything from a buyer who offers no returns.

The no returns just means they won't accept something just because you changed your mind. If it's not described properly or other issues, ebay will force the seller to take it back.

It has a viewing hood for the Tele-Rolleiflex, so now you have to buy a Tele-Rolleiflex with the "normal" hood and swap. 😉

Nice catch. I didn't even notice that.

Of course I can't remember ever using a sports finder on a Rolleiflex. so....

I think the sports finder feature is so clever. That and a pistol grip make it very fast to handle. Even though I am going to zone focus that little drop down mirror means I can always do a quick focus check. They truly are little marvels of engineering.

Enjoy! It does not seem like a scam now. Go shoot some film and report back. We are waiting as fast as we can.

Sorry to read this. Hopefully the ebay process will make you whole again if it is a scam. I can't recall the details but I have had a past purchase where the shipping label was created in one place and the package mailed form a remote location. I recall being extremely concerned. Maybe that's the situation???

When I moved from Chicago to southern KY, I forgot to update my "ship from" address on ebay and the first few items I sold would give tracking info like this. USPS was expecting the package to come from Chicago but would start moving in Kentucky.

Last week a two day expedited shipping from Arizona to California took 10 days due to the season glut of mail. It sat at the origin post office for two days before in was shipped out. Then two days in Phoenix Arizona before it moved again. Then a day without moving at the central Los Angeles receiving and sorting office and then it finally started to move and got to me the day after.
