Just finished scanning the Plus X and TMAX 400. Even in 35mm Im getting blown highlights, so it seems I'll have to do the histogram method which would take way longer.
You may want to try using Vuescan, and saving a T-Max 400 profile with the adjustments that appeal to you.
More generally though, T-Max 400 in X-Tol in your lighting conditions is capable of giving you really exceptional results - you (and your software/enlarger just need to get used to it.

Just ordered a brick of 120 TMY through Kerrisdale Cameras. $15.99 a roll, 10% discount to be added.
By the way, the JCH Street Pan I shot the other day was impressive. Looked identical to Rollie IR... Makes me wonder if it's just the same stuff. Used the same EI, and Rollie IR reciprocity data. Only the development times were different (Xtol-R).

I got my Tmax 400 at Freestyle, which is currently selling between $8.54 and $8.90 US for 35mm and 120. Exchange on that works out to $10.36 or $10.80 Canadian. You pay the taxes on that either way.

How much is shipping? Which also needs to be converted to Canadian.

Here's the converter. 8.54 USD = 10.37CAN 8.90USD = 10.81CAN
https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=USD&To=CAD
You always end up spending more than this due to the currency conversion charges levied by credit card companies or PayPal.
Unfortunately, the volumes sold by both Canadian distributors and Canadian retailers are so much smaller than the high volume US counterparts, and as a result our prices will always be higher.
It is quite likely that the wholesale cost paid by Kerrisdale Cameras is as high or higher than the Canadian equivalent of those Freestyle prices.
