It is the formula I was experimenting on in this thread, but if you are new to this it may not suit.
I modified the times to 8m +8m 20C as mentioned in post 237.Developer for Aviphot Pan 200
The guy who posts on Youtube as "the naked photographer" presented D-log E curves for Rollei Superpan 200, Rollei RPX 25 and Agfa Copex rapid [among others he is in process of presenting]. If the liberty is taken of assuming these are Aviphot 200, Aviphot 80 and Agfa Copex rapid and they are...www.photrio.com
At the moment I am working on a single bath version, not finished yet.
Not as far as I know. @Alan Johnson has been the one working with and experimenting on improving contrast behavior using color developing agents. His public formula is posted above.Has anyone tested a similar formula based on CD3?
Agfa Aviphot Pan 200 is sold for aerial photography and for this purpose gives a high contrast as the land photographed has relatively low contrast. I believe it is sold in 35mm eg as Rollei Retro 400s.The resolution is up to 181 lppm.
For aerial photography it is developed in Agfa G74c plus G74s, from the msds I concluded that this combination is a high pH PQ developer. I was curious to see from the diagram on p8 of the link that developing for long times in this combination gives a notable increase in shadow speed. However, the corresponding curve , for 20 min, would likely give blown highlights when the film is used for pictorial photography.
My question is, what developer might give the notable increase in shadow speed but make the curve less steep thereby giving good results for pictorial photography. There is a lot of data on the massive development chart but some complain of high contrast.

As a side note, the question should be: "why am I using an aerial film for pictorial pourposes?"...
I'm joking...
For true IR film there's Ilford Sfx 200...Maybe the only good option for near-IR film
Somewhere in the 11 pages I have yet to get through.
I have a load of Xtol and a load of Aviphot that I have to develop. Anyone here messed with Xtol/Aviphot combo? I want to use replenished Xtol. Been shooting the stuff at ISO 100. Google isn't giving me any times for the stuff.

Assuming you refer to Aviphot 200 shot at EI=100, maybe somewhat reduce the time from that suggested for Rollei Retro 400s at EI 200 as a starting time:
My thoughts exactly. Also, I get different results modifying the developer/developing time so fun to use.Because it costs me less than .10 a roll. Because I can roll it into any format I want. Because it's near IR. Because I have it.

I've had 'good enough' results with it. Basically it's film that I use for testing and walk around. I'm not doing my thesis using this film.
Last camera I used it in was a Ricohflex VII with cardboard baffles in it modified to shoot 6x3 images. I'm not using a roll of Tmax for that.
I agree. I mean, pictures come ok, not gallery Quality but, like you said, good enough, suitable for my daily use, pictures from My cats and explore the potential of my less used lens.

The reason I asked is because I don't understand why one choose an aerial film for pictorial pourposes while pictorial films are still available...Loads of folks repackage Aviphot, including where I get bulk film now, Astrum.

Maybe I can understand if you use Aviphot for reversal, but as a negative no...
A lot of those cheap B&W films are Aviphot. CatLabs 80/320, JCH Streetpan 400, Rollei 80s/200/400/IR, etc. Why do they use it? Because you can get it in master roll quantities for cheap.
Can you please tell me where to get them in master roll quantities for cheap?
