With respect to the house stuff, BTDT. From the 16th through the 22nd of this month, my family was living at the Redmond Marriott Residence Inn while our hardwood floors were being refinished. Septic tank backed up a month or so ago.

Ted is aka "The Unabomber". While I don't agree with his extreme philosophy, my photography at least follows his basic tenet: primitive, shunning new technology, etc.
Ummm.... you might want to research "around the world". On this side of the pond, that has another meaning. If you're into that AND plan to do some traveling with the camera, it sounds like 2012 is going to be a great year.
