This one is mine. It is of a heritage building in Deas Island Park, which is on Deas Island which is between arms of the Fraser River. If you come to the Vancouver area and travel through a tunnel, the south end of that tunnel is anchored on Deas Island.

I like the combination of the heritage building, the picket fence, and the colours!

This picture explains why Camera 8.1 took so long. Instead of taking the direct route via the Helen McAllister, it took the slow boat to China (read PEKING)

I have titled it Peking at Helen McAllister

The Assiniboine and the Red Rivers were the original "highways" of the pioneers.

So apparently a pioneer sat in the iboine.

Rick - I'll check the negatives tonight. The CD only contained 28 pictures, but the film counter was at 31 when I got the camera. The number sequencing on the CD skipped three shots. If there is a negative there that can be scanned, I will do it myself and let you know.

24 and 25 are mine. #25 is the aforementioned poultry from the original Camera 8 thread. Have four full-grown hens and a bunch of chicks. #24 is a shot of the Cascades taken from Monroe, Washington along the Old Snohomish-Monroe Highway (original US highway 2).

This is one of the entrances to Luna Park in Coney Island. If they had used that same creepy-smiling evil-face welcome to nightmareville signage when I was a kid I would never have set foot in the place. Thankfully you don't have to go through here to get to the Cyclone roller coaster or Nathan's. Do I get extra credit for being the only outdoor night shot?

So you got a Baldrock hen, eh?

Ours is a Plymouth Rock, also known as a Barred Rock. I don't know if they are actually the same but they look similar.

I didn't notice the brown one in the background. Coincidently we have two chickens and the other one is brown. I don't know what type it is. It is an ex battery hen which was a scrawny thing with hardly any feathers when we got it. It now has full plumage and has put on a bit of weight.

Just the normal very light brown. It produced a white egg once though.

Early in the AM, very foggy. Hand held may have been a little too ambitious. This the the remains of an old dam on the Assiniboine River, pretty much right in the center of Brandon, Manitoba.This location is very close to the spot where I photographed the unicorn, which unfortunately we won't get to see, as Camera 7 was lost.
