It should be here before Christmas so, I bought myself a nice gift.

It is about time! You wanted it. You needed it! You worked hard enough for it. You will use it. Good you gave into the GAS and ordered it.

I'm so easy.

A man with good taste knows when to buy a good camera. Congratulations!

I'm afraid I've known when too buy many times. Well, I needed a pre-Christmas present from myself and it looked like a honey.

Every time I've become interested in something I most always procrastinate feeling almost guilty for some reason, for buying something else. Sometimes I loose out because I didn't get it and regret it later. Other times I've felt relieved someone else got it instead. This wasn't one of them and I decided I'd best get it now. No regrets so far.

Don't feel guilty if you're like most of us you've worked hard for the money. Enjoy what it can do for you. It's truly worthless sitting there. Never forget life can evaporate in an instant.

Words of wisdom, my good man, and very true. My joy over this has just been somewhat crushed after taking my dog to the specialist today at the urging of his vet but, that's another long story. He may have DM and I'm doing tests to find out.

I need to go shooting to get my mind off this.

Nice! Looks like new

Oh... Sorry to hear this  Wishing you and your dog all the best!

Beautiful camera, ColColt, congrats!

Thanks, he'll be ok, he has to be. It's due to arrive by the 22nd or 23rd. I guess it came about with good timing. One thing's for sure, I have plenty of film awaiting and fresh batteries.

You're making it harder to keep ignoring the original Contax RTS I have my eye on.

You want it. You need it. You deserve it. You worked for it. Do not resist the GAS, hit just the key and buy it!

Congratulations Colt.
Enjoy it!

Well done David. Lovely looking camera indeed, and it will enhance your collection and give you pleasure in using it. I am concentrating more on the auto focus F cameras and I think I may be tempted with some GAS if a nice mint F4 came along.

Congratulations Colt.
Enjoy it!

I plan to and thanks. It's one I wanted many moons ago but had to choose another at the time. Now, it's time.

For some reason I never could get into auto focus film cameras. I did look hard at the F3 but understand there's been some problems with the LCD due to their aging. It's a good looker for sure.

I had some luck with a clean F5 and enjoy using it very much with manual and auto focus lenses. I also succumbed to a "baby F5" aka F100.

I've probably got enough film cameras to last me to the next millennium. I enjoy them all as they're all a bit different from the light weight M2 to the "Big Bertha" 6x7. I have to make mental notes as to how long I've left batteries in them as I don't want any leakage.

Congrats on your F2AS. I have an identical one but however i prefer my plain-prism black Nikon F more, simply because it makes a quieter, more comfortable shutter noise.

The chrome F2A I have that was gone over by Sover not long ago is an instrument of pure joy and looks and operates as though it came right from Japan last week. I'm hoping I can use the F2AS for some time before the need for "Soverazation" may need to take place.
