If you have some surplus citric acid, mix it equal parts with sodium bicarbonate and white/icing sugar. A fizzy type of sherbet that amuses kids for a while.
Is this really edible?
Cheers,
Flavio

It's all food grade but you wouldn't eat it by the spoonful. Lick finger, dab into the space dust, have a lick, oooh it fizzes, let the kids finish it off.

You can get it pretty much anywhere. It's actually a food product called "sour salt". About $10 per pound if you buy small quantities.Where can I get citric acid?
For film I use 15 grams per liter of Citric acid for my stop bath. This is the simple formula for Kodak SB-8 stop bath given by Stephen Anchell in the Darkroom Cookbook. I buy citric acid in bulk from a grocery store, very cheap so I can mix fresh every time I develop.
