Hi,
I am new to this site and would like to come along and join you at Canterbury in October if that is ok, I won't need accommodation as I live only half an hour from Canterbury

Ivor - no problem. You'd be welcome to come along. You might even have some thoughts as to where we can go to take pics on the Saturday/ sunday am .... and you donut too. jot them down and we'll dicsuss the plan of action on the friday night

Leon - Thanks for that, I will put my thinking cap on, donut and myself have taken the camara's out for the day on many occasion.

Ailsa - I'm sure Helen and I could pick you up from Ashford and take you over to boughton (in fact, you can get to Chilham from Ashford) ... let us know

Thanks Leon. It's only 10-15 minutes on the train from Ashford to Chilham, so I'll hop on and meet you there if that's OK.

I've just booked - looks a nice place!

BTW for the car-free ones, there's a frequent bus service from Faversham to Boughton. Look forward to seeing you all again + some new faces.

Rob

Lifts etc.

I am quite happy to detour along the way to pick anyone enroute. I will be travelling to venue from Bedfordshire...

If that helps PM me...

Mark

booked

I'm booked in for Fri/Sat.
Re locations... website of kent coast here: http://www.kentcoast.org.uk/
Both Seasalter and Reculver look interesting - and Faversham Creek/marshes if it's not too far??
Regards to all.
Richard

faversham is closer than both the other locations - there is an interesting boat ard, and a nice walk through the old brick fields - yes, that sounds good. then Seasalter and Reculver sort of follow on.

I make that 9 rooms booked out of 13 so far...

(Someone else can do the next tally; I don't want to take my shoes and socks off...)

Make that 10 Frank

I have a single booked. looking forward to meeting you all. Is it a tradition to brings some of our work along, as i adore looking at other peoples Photographs?

Regards

Stoo

Bring montains...

Last time I forgot my portfolio and was mortified, as everyone else bought quite a few with them...

So the more the merrier - Mark

Bringing a selection of your work is not mandatory but is highly recommended, and looking through it all is definitely one of the Gathering highlights for me!

Thats great news

Looks like its going to be a great weekend!

I was hoping to hail the hotel from home in the evening ... but my car got badly bruised on the boot from behind by a beemer on the way back.

Awaiting their insurers ... !"@"&!

All else is well, but driving around with a loose end.

Just booked in Ann and myself for the weekend,; it sounds as if we shall take the place over! Look forward to seeing you all again. Jophn Stredwick

I have taken a few shots at Seasalter, but what's Reculver like? Is it marshes/beaches?

If it is anything like Seasalter then I will be a happy little bunion, mind you, after Symonds Yat etc. Tony did put together a lovely little set of locations...

No pressure tho - Mark

Always, Always Avoid Alliteration!

(and beemers!)

I hope you're okay, Sandeha. Look after your neck and back over the next few days (speaking from painful personal experience).

John - Great to hear that you and Ann got in under the wire while there's still space left.

Leon - At this rate it might be worth looking around for overflow accommodation...!

They might have missed you altogether if you'd honked your horn...!

Mortified...

Mortified! Didn't notice that.

Mind you, I was also looking forward to the next bottle of wine...
Amongst others!

Seriously tho, I was actually quite embarassed, I had spent ages preparing (the portfolio) it - then left the damn thing behind!

The only thing I could show was my entry for Circle 2... poor tho it was.

But then you (and Win) have probably seen it all before Dave... If you hadn't by then - you sure have by now, along with the other Midlands Monochrome group of course!
