Hello friends,

the team from Camera Rescue is doing a new film photography survey, in cooperation with a student from Helsinki (Amelia Nguyen; the survey is part of her thesis). This is the second survey after their first very detailed survey in 2017. And again the results will be published, so that our whole film community can benefit from it. Therefore it makes really sense to participate in it:

Best regards,
Henning

Henning you are absolutely right. My thread can be removed.

The survey is too full of bugs to complete!
What kind of bugs i.e. just a survey that hasn't been properly set up with questions that make no sense or don't allow enough choice to be answered properly or bugs as in potentially dangerous ones for the person doing the survey?

Thanks

George, no problems at all here. I haven't had any bugs on my computer. To answer the questions in the survey worked flawlessly. As well as the comment section at the end.

Best regards,
Henning

It worked fine for me. A bit long, but that was of minor annoyance.

The flaw is with the four personas. While I recognize them, there is a missing persona... people like me: started with film and never changed but basically a hobbiest who photographs family/events/stuff without aspirations to be “artist”. I know I’m not alone!

I just filled in the survey, on the equipment side it might have covered collection of technically interesting stuff and optics made for analog but used on digital. No distinction between flavours of autoeverything devices and the manual kind.

Also , no attemts to find out who still use -or simply have- darkroom equipment.

Too much emphasis on social media, nowhere to indicate readership of magazines and no attempt to find out relative popularity of fora or for that matter of film types. No question on negative films v/s diapositives or of straight b&W versus chromogenics, not even any attempt to ask about B&W use. Opportunities missed.

Duplicate thread deleted with no replies. This one is better located, as Henning suggests.

The survey worked fine for me in Safari on my iPad Air 2. I just clicked the link in the post on top and it opened in Safari.

I guess they decided to exclude Hasselblad users :whistling::wink:.

I took the survey but did not read all their info.
It says .... Results will be presented to the community.
Is there any other reason for this...... where is this headed.?
