Everyone likes the 69 Camaro. I have always preferred the 67 hard top or the 68 convertible. I like the vent pane windows but the convertible looks cleaner without them. Personally, I drive an 03 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

I'm 53 so of course I will well out live you but I'll bury you alive six feet under if you give me your camera and car. :D

The 67's had the vent pane windows for both hard top and convertibles. In 68 they eliminated them but added side marker lights. Also in 68 the grill changed to a slightly convex style. Did the tail lights change? I don't remember. I just think that the 68 convertibles look cleaner than the 67 convertibles. I do prefer the 67 hard tops over the 68 hard tops. Of course I am nit picking.

If I open up your coffin and you hand me your title and camera I'll probably either keel over from a heart attack or run your head through to prevent the walking dead. :D

In other news, my thread about Super Graphics 2 or 3 weeks ago came to a happy conclusion. I ended up with one heck of a sweet Super that turned out just perfect. Thought I was getting burned and turned out I couldn't be happier. The guy sold me a basically good, complete one, I re-worked it, and now it's a doll baby. Maybe one of the best examples in existence. I wouldn't let go of it for a nickel.

Congrats

Glad I could help stir up something I didn't now existed.

Sorry, Alan, I don't like any pony car. That includes all Camaros.

Before the brawl starts, as a fine (at times distinguished) economist, I know very well that there's no disputing tastes.

That's why they make so many different styles of cars. People have different tastes. It would be a boring world if everyone liked the same things.

Alright, you convinced me... I joined the LF forum. My user name is Pat, but I have no privileges right now, apparently. See you on there!

Yeah, it will take a month and then you can view the for sale section and the lounge. Welcome to the forum!

Back in post #6 this advise was given: Just give the shutter a good flush w/ lighter fluid and it will probably be a lot better.
Had this advise been followed the owner would have a non repairable paper weight as the shutter uses hard rubber shutter blades.

From what I have heard was that cleaning lenses with lighter fluid will just get someone burned.

Whoa, glad to hear that now.

Also, it may be designed to use some sort of lubricant, which is won't have now. Imagine doing this to your automobile!

Just do what the auto mechanics do: squirt the lens with WD-40 and whack it with a BFH*!

For what seems like the nine millionth time (see post #19 in this thread) Ilex shutters are made to run dry.

and for the 10 millionth time they run better with a trace of oil and grease but dry does not prevent dust and microscopic metal from building up around the pivots. The shutter is an Acme #3. All pivots ride on brass bushings which appear to have been soaked in oil, allowed to drain completely before being sent to the assembly line at the factory. Brass wears very fast without being oiled.
This one was at the slow tolerance limit for 1 and 1/2 second and 1/2 to 1 stop slow at all other speeds.

Fotch you are such a doubting Thomas. The repair manual has been around the Internet for years. It says 'do not oil'.

But the do run fine with just a trace of oil too

I may have mis-spoken. The user manual is on the internet (saying "Do not oil").
