Im glad they made it Menno, I used the cheaper postage option to make these photo exchanges more affordable. Im getting happier with my printing, but there is still plenty of room for improvement.Just got back from vacation and there was an envelope in the mail all the way from Australia. Three very nice prints from Awty. All from around the rural town of Tenterfield in northern NSW. They're on his Flickr page as "Twined", "Buckled" and "Embroidery" but the real prints look much nicer. Well printed and split toned in selenium and sepia. Thanks Paul !
Sooo ... my package to twelveone12 was rejected by Customs and returned to me this week. If at first you don't succeed ... Looking forward to another trip to the Post Office this week.
Usually, it is the description (tariff item code) and valuation that is rejected.A photograph was rejected? Good grief!
When my wife took the package back to the post office with the original receipt, the worker recognized that the package was addressed to Switzerland but the receipt showed the package was going to ... wait for it ... Honduras. They placed it back in the system with the correct customs destination at no charge.OMG it was rejected by the swiss post?? They normally notify me if there are problems! Did they mention the problem? I can ring them up and protest
Apologies to Howard for the late reply, to say that his offering has arrived okay, but I have been away.I am sending my prints out today.
