Dear photographers,

just a remark. Bern (also active here) tries to reintroduce the Lith print exchange:

https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/its-been-so-long-ago.164763/#post-2145686

May be of interest for some of us (like me),

Uwe, thanks for sharing, I have put up the FAQ here:

https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/introduction-to-the-lith-and-alt-print-exchange.164971/

February will be sign-up month.

I hope I will still be allowed to participate in the BPX, too

Lieber Bernd,

you are even allowed to send a Lith print in BPX

Mine is in the mail.
... and did it safely to Chateauneuf today!

Many thanks for two exquisite prints, very moody scenes wonderfully shot and printed. When I first saw the "BErgamo outskirts", I said loud "Wow!".
I feel blessed to have them , will need to find a place to display them!

And don't feel sorry, I'm later than you ;-), my print is I think made, but not sent yet.

Only a few day left for this round. There are still two prints not on it's way.

Hello all,

I'm glad to report I finally mailed my print!

Allow a few days for reception as it has long travel to make.

Laurent, thanks for the confirmation and your comment! I didn't expect it arrive in less then a week. I'm very glad you like them prints.

And here are a few words about two prints I received from Nikodemus in December.
I really love the depiction of abstract subject in Angles - and the contrast fits the image very well. Seriously, this cannot be your first experience in wet printing!
The Bad Boy Again is quite different from the first one, it gives an unusual point of view to this object of art.
And your choice of paper also deserves a remark.
Thank you!

I believe that I may be the recipient of your prints Locutus? For I have received something from Finland but there were no sender details enclosed?

I have been a way for a few days and was just about to enquire on this forum to find the sender.

I'm busy for today but will report further tomorrow, if you can confirm that it is I who you sent bits to.

Many thanks,

Yes that would be me :D sorry I seem to have failed with including a letter

Oh Sorry, yes i did! I'll snap a picture and write a post on it

I've had some super busy months.

Received a great print from Laurent today of a very frosty, glowing Paris Metro "M" actually quite metropolis like.
Thanks.
Thanks Paul, glad it arrived safely! (and of course thanks for the appreciative words!)

It was very well packaged and arrived with out any creases, has pride of place on the fridge for now till I get around to framing it, fitting cause its the only place (fridge) you can find frost in these parts. Love pictures from other parts of the world.

Okay, apologies again, but a busy few days have stopped me commenting up until now.

Thanks straight off Locutus for spending 19.50 euros on sending me FIVE various prints = for I thought some of my postage to overseas for exchanges was expensive!

One print of five was taken with a 5 x 4, whilst the others with either a Leica R8 or R9, both 35mm slr cameras.

All the prints have snow or ice or both in them! One even mentions one metre thick pack ice over some water and even where it has been broken, it sounds as if Locutus hops from 'float to float' with no worries, and with a backpack on. Eeekk!

A note on the back of one of the prints says that it was MINUS 30 CENTIGRADE (!!) when he took the picture. Here in the UK, we get minus 02 C and we won't step out of the door, LOL.

Four prints feel like RC papers = 3 on gloss, 1 on satin / lustre, but also one on FB matt, a paper which I love but doesn't have much of a following on the forums, so I was glad to receive it.

They're all great environmental landscape prints that I now have, which give a good over view of Finland at it's coldest. I've never been to the country but would love to go, but I think that I will wait until it gets just a little warmer before even contemplating it.

Many thanks once more for the prints Locutus, much appreciated = and good name by the way if I've got it right?

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes shipping was dear, but that's just one of the things when you live in the middle of nowhere

I was a bit worried about the writing on the back, in my stupidity i used a ballpoint on the back of RC paper and after 2 weeks it still hadn't dried fully. I hope it didn't completely smudge into illegibility.

...Lessons learned!

From Spijker i received a beautiful large print of a Greek/Roman temple lovely image and the print quality is top notch, i still have so far to go until i can hit the quality level of the prints i have received

Bedankt Spijker, een voor aan de wand
