What is the Issue number that Cheryl is in? I received the October in the mail but don't remember receiving November's. What pic is on the cover of the November issue?

Good Evening, Roger,

The November issue of Black & White has a cover photo of a Haitian girl wearing a tee shirt reading "Boys Lie."

Congratulations to both of you, Cheryl and Ailsa, one for making stunning pictures and one for publishing them in a great read! My copy arrived this morning in Holland

Thank you both!!!

Mine arrived too in Holland. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Congratulations to Cheryl and thanks again to Ailsa for making such a great magazine.

Roy I hope so I loved the last series he posted or there again maybe he's put himself on his ignore list and can't see himself :surprised:

Must admit I'm missing the banter but I hope everythings ok for him it's starting to get worrying not seeing Jorges contributions.

I'd rate Black and White Photography the best UK magazine and Black and White the best US magazine I've seen.[/QUOTE said:
You probably haven't seen LensWork Magazine. THE best black and white reproduction today. Anywhere. You can subscribe. I think they are distributing in the UK too.

Joe I've seen a couple of copies but it just didn't appeal to me for some reason at the time, purely subjective but that's life :D

What does anoy me about a lot of magazines now though is the digital content. If you remove most of the adverts that don't interest me and then the digital which again doesn't interest me that means the actual cost of the magazine is the equivalent of 3 or 4 times the cover price. Okies rant over

I should add that this isn't an anti-digital rant and I appreciate that magazines have to cater for the wider market. I'm lucky in that possibly due to an IT background I was able to pick up PS very quickly and produce images to a higher standard than I can with my darkroom abilities which I'm working on. I'm just not interested in digital.

I have Lenswork, it is a different sort of magazine, very well printed. In my experience it is available by subscription but some specialist outlets over here may carry it.

Congrats, Cheryl. Although I missed a lot of of your pictures, but they couldn't (of course not!) bring them all!

Frank, So no bits of loo paper all over me nose then :D LOL

Well I finally got my copy of Black and White Magazine today (or was it yesterday as I did a 17 hour shift overnight and lost track of time) and Cheryls pictures are even more stunning on the printed page. Hopefully will get some see some real prints in the future as I'm sure they are even more beautiful

Just got my copy in the mail today here in Oregon. 2-3 week delay to the states doesn't seem too bad to me. Anyway, great article, Cheryl. Love the images printed. I really like the whole feel and philosophy. It reminded me of a photo of my nephew I took last spring and how much more poignant I thought it was than the general happy cute kid pics. Not that he's not cute.

I also received my copy yesterday, and your photos of the kids are great Cheryl. They are what I aim for in my Grandkid pictures. The little girl with the hair and dress that needs tidying is just perfect.

I'm a little curious as to what you tell Mom and Dad when they drop little Sammy and Suzy off for their photos, all dressed up in their Sunday best! For some reason it makes me think of the TV commercial where Mom comes home unexpectantly to find Grandma feeding the kids cake for breakfast.
