What?!? I never even considered the If, that’s a gorgeous setup you have there! And a great idea..

Not only is it tiny, but it is easily the most reliable option as all it is is a shutter in a box. No RF system to get misaligned etc.
And the VF is inline with the lens so no parallax issues.
I also use it in the MdA version, which is based on the Leica M4. Advantages are better film wind and rewind, better shutter speed dial, more advanced shutter and easier to load.
Disadvantages are it totally lacks the charm of the 1f, looks 'industrial', exact same size as an M4 and thus much bigger than the 1f. But still really fun to use! (and lets you use LTM as well as M mount lenses)

Sometimes when I look prints from those small P&S - I ask myself why I have those Leicas, big SLR's and so on :smile:. I know the answer - because I can, but image quality from many cheap cameras equal the Leica glass, that is a fact.

These type of cameras can give superb results, the trade off is lack of control and flexibility that a fancier setup can give you.
