Yousuf Karsh is my favorite. He may have used reflectors though, I can't recall.
I'm pretty sure he used continuous light photofloods, which is still artificial light.

No, I am saying that even if he used natural light, the result of whatever it is that he does is anything but natural in appearance. That's all. N.b. I did not express any like/dislike of his work, I simply do not [personally!] find it in keeping with the general objectives of available light photography.
