Hi, I a buyed for 515€ symmar 355mm/620mm f6.8 f16
The lens is heavy
Now I Looking for case to carry al the stuff.
Found peli air 1555 that woud fit my non folding 7x17inch camera.
What woud you do:
1) keep the 355mm symmar
2) sell symmar and something else for 355 g claron
3) sell symmar and add 150€ for 305 g claron

The 7x17 camera has a fresnel screen 100x100mm lens board and 400mm of reach.

Do 305mm g claron offer atleast 4.5-5cm of fall/rise on 7x17 at f64?

To carry 355mm symmar I need a separate case; I coud carry 305mm or 355mm g claron always attached to the camera.

UPDATE! Got for cheaper then I woud sell my symmar a berrei version of 355mm g-claron f9.
After a bit of matematics and expirience recall that with one nd filter I dont need a shutter.
Now to not create already too much threads;
What are barrel lenses to get for 7x17 with movements?
Only shorter then 355mm

Seller says it has filter thread on the back, is it still okay to mount nd filter behind the lens?

There was a lens model named G-Claron WA (maximum aperture f/11). The 270mm focal length version has an 800mm image circle at f/22 according to Schneider.

Mounting a filter on the back element is generally not a problem, but it could be difficult to do so with an ND filter, depending on how dark the filter is.

When you put a flat filter between the rear element and the ground glass, it introduces a type of distortion called piston distortion. This kind of distortion is the lowest order of distortion and only changes the focus of the lens. So if you have a filter on the rear element you have to focus with the filter in place or your images will be out of focus.

This can be kind of difficult if you're using a very dark ND filter as it can be difficult to see if an object is in focus or not.
