There were Graflex roll backs made for these and for the B, D and the RB. I have a 2x3 and I did have a 2x2, which is less common but sometimes comes up. Keep searching. I find that looking for the telltale groove on the foot of the holder (in place of the raised ridge present in more recently built holders) is sometimes the only way to determine if the holder will fit. Sellers don't always know what they have.

Have you seen this?

I'm not sure what was available for the junior in 120. They probably made a wider format roll back. Something like 122 size ( you'd have to check)
Graflex did make 120 roll backs for the 6x9 graflex slrs like the series B and D. I have one and just tried it on the Junior and it won't fit because the winding knob gets in the way of the shutter curtain roll protrusion on the top

Dan do you know anything about the 120 back that fits the the junior. There's mention of a Suydam back, but I'm not familiar with it.
Thanks, Jamie

I have one that was sold to me as fitting a 2x3 Graflok back. It doesn't, the flanges are too thick and because of the way they're made they can't be milled thinner.

The wretched things came, it seems, in a variety of sizes with a variety of flanges and, perhaps, a variety of registers too. I just tried a Google search (https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...mages&tbs=&as_filetype=&as_rights=&gws_rd=ssl), found more than I want to read.

Some things aren't meant to be known at all and there are some I'm not meant to know much about. Suydam roll holders fall into the second category.

Cheers,

Dan

I have found the suydam back on the camera listed. It should fit on the back of the jr. Just need to find one to test

OP, read and weep: http://photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00WTC4

Whitey, Folmer & Schwing's (and successors') products are so quirky that answering questions about them from general principles is rarely safe.

You are right, of course, Dan. I did own a Graflex Auto Jr and had a roll back for it that I had cadged together from one designed for the different type of camera altogether. I remember I had to mount it with the controls on the bottom so that I could avoid the "hump." I sold it soon after and got a B complete with a proper roll-back. The design of that won't let you mount it wrong-side up, however. Sorry to have given misleading advice. I've had many Folmer-Schwing products over the years, and you're correct, they are quirky...wonderful, but quirky.

I ended up fabricating a roll extention to the No. 50 roll film back so it can take 120 film. More like a 6x6 but at least i can see if the camera works and I can still use it

Did this ever get solved? I picked up an Auto Graflex Jr. and it came with the 1915 Rollback for No. 50 film song with a few other backs. Any thoughts on ho to shoot 120 on this beauty?

Thanks!
