Hi Zane and welcome. Yes, that would be me. Have we met? I looked at some of your Anzac Day shots - you must have been standing opposite me!Zane Yau said:Are you the same Susan as Susan of Northside Creative?
Well, der - of course watching paint dry in your own darkroom will be more exciting than soccer. The sooner it's dry, the sooner you can be making prints! What could be more exciting than that?chiller said:Actually Nicole and Graham -- give them their own thread but please title it As boring as paint drying.
I had the choice of watching the soccor or waiting for the paint to dry in my darkroom -- the paint was far more exciting.
And it was finished before the match ended .....
Nicole Boenig-McGrade said:Having spent much of my childhood in Germany where Fussball, (soccer) was a big part of it (no offence taken Steve & Graeme). When I came to Australia I couldn't understand how grown men could chase a ball the shape of an egg that can't even roll. Personally, I'd much rather watch a game of soccer than cricket. And then again I'd much rather be in the park playing soccer with my own kids than watching it on TV. Who knows, one day I might understand the rules of "Aussie Rules Footy"

Perhaps a roll call is in order so we know who to try and catch up with for a beer when travelling?<snip>..
Nicole Boenig-McGrade said:Can I make a suggesion for a little APUG gathering in 2005:
This is a little short-notice, but you never know...
Between the 15-17th May 2005 is a big get-together in Brisbane for photographers and suppliers with workshops, conferences etc... to choose from and lots of it is either free attendance or not that expensive. It's interesting and well worth attending!

Another Melbournian welcoming you.

Whoops. Hi Pete...and hi, Kevin. Kevin, I'm having an exhibition this month at 80 Gold Street Gallery, Collinwood if you have an opportunity. There's 23 LF and ULF images. Let me know if you can make it and I'll try to meet you there. (by the way, I didn't write the text copy on the web site).Kevin Caulfield said:David,
I think you mean "Hi Pete".
You've already met me.
Kevin
Hey - I resent that remark. I take lots of kind photos too ...Kevin Caulfield said:Hi Wyno, welcome, and Happy Birthday!
Yes, Graeme is just a little bit warped, but he takes a mean photo.
Wyno said:Actually my surname is Wynd, but years ago when Photoworld magazine was still going I put an entry in and won but they printed my name as Michael Wyno, so I've tried to live up to that ever since LOL

Wyno said:No, so you'll have to enlighten me Robert.

Wyno said:Yep, I do try.
But seriously, I enjoy a glass of red on the odd occasion, and I will be enjoying a bottle of Warrenmang basket press shiraz on my birthday.
