I had the choice of watching the soccor or waiting for the paint to dry in my darkroom -- the paint was far more exciting.

And it was finished before the match ended.

However I'm glad you enjoyed the game though.

Well, der - of course watching paint dry in your own darkroom will be more exciting than soccer. The sooner it's dry, the sooner you can be making prints! What could be more exciting than that?

Oh, and where do those guys get off calling soccer "football"? We all know there's only one real game of footy - that's why they call it Aussie RULES!

Having spent much of my childhood in Germany where Fussball, (soccer) was a big part of it (no offence taken Steve & Graeme). When I came to Australia I couldn't understand how grown men could chase a ball the shape of an egg that can't even roll. Personally, I'd much rather watch a game of soccer than cricket. And then again I'd much rather be in the park playing soccer with my own kids than watching it on TV. Who knows, one day I might understand the rules of "Aussie Rules Footy"

Between the 15-17th May 2005 is a big get-together in Brisbane for photographers and suppliers with workshops, conferences etc... to choose from and lots of it is either free attendance or not that expensive. It's interesting and well worth attending!

Hi Susan

I've been to the club twice as a visitor. Too far for me to join though, as I live in Bexley North, down south. The Northside club is very successful.

I must have been standing right next to you on the Anzac Day... all the photographers were out that day.

Do you guys scan your negs or slides at home? If so, what scanner u use? I am working hard to get the best out of my Epson 4990 (which is supposed to be a good scanner)

Hi everyone,
I'm just about to turn 50 (next week) live in Geelong and shoot 4x5. I just bought a Shen Hao and used it for the first time in the Blue Mountains a couple of weeks ago.
I've been shooting 4x5 since 1984 but only started shooting B&W about 4 years ago. Now I don't shoot anything else
I have a wonderful partner and three inherited children, only one of which is still living at home. My partner has really got into digital, so I sometimes use her camera to check exposure times on really long exposures.
Nicole, I work in a TAFE too and use their darkroom (thank God it's got a 4x5 enlarger).
Graeme, I used to work for the Victorian geological survey branch, so I know that being a geologist you must be just a little bit warped (only joking). All the geologists I worked with were terrific people and great fun.

Actually my surname is Wynd, but years ago when Photoworld magazine was still going I put an entry in and won but they printed my name as Michael Wyno, so I've tried to live up to that ever since LOL
