Anyone who sends money to Kevin gets a print from me (see apug-gallery.com), I'll see if I can do more as well -- but money is realy tight at my end.

Everyone is wonderful to add incentive to send Kevin a contribution but I think most of us would do it without any reward. It's the right thing to do if you can afford to. If you can't afford to, send a nice card and let him know your thoughts are with him and his family. I am impressed with this community and glad I've been coming here regularly for a year now. Merry Christmas to all or Happy Hannukah or whatever, just blessings on all.

Also, To encourage more people to help out, I will donate several of my prints to this cause. Anyone who make a donation of more then $75.00 to help Kevin and his family back on their feet will receive a recent, mounted 8x10 AZO print from my APUG gallery. All you have to do is make the donation to his PayPal account and forward me the email showing that you did.

Please help out a fellow APUG member and his family out in a time of need.

Thank you kindly,

Ryan McIntosh

PM'ed you Ryan.

Would it be possible for sean to put a permanent banner on the top of the site? SOmething everyone who comes to the site can see even if they do not see this thread.

Lets go folks. Pony up. Tis the season and all.

I also think we need to help make this as normal a christmas for his kids as we can. Mom and dad are busy worrying about other things right now. WOuld it be possible to get the kids' names so I can either send a toy or gift card to them. PM them to me if you do not want the imfo in public.

I agree with you 100% Gay. Well said. For some people though an incentive is enough to give them a little extra push.

I would also like to add that anyone who purchases one of my prints from the new apug-gallery.com site I will donate my share of the money to Kev and his family. This is in addition to my previous offer listed above.

My family and I will include Kevin and his family in our thoughts and prayers. We will also give thanks for all the generous and thoughtful souls that are apug members, subscribers, and visitors.
You are all a wonderful group of people and deserve praise for stepping up to help out a fellow human.
We will certainly make a financial contribution in an effort to help out.

Kevin has good friends...thanks for letting us know.

Money is tight for us. I'll be selling my prints again in the new year, so I'll send him the money from the sale of my first two 11x14 framed prints...$300.00 Canadian.

Take care Kevin.

I talk with Kevin from time-to-time on AIM. I am truly sorry to hear about this accident.

Having gone through a horrible accident in our own family a few years back, I can fully sympathize with him and appreciate the grief that he is experiencing.

Since I do not use PayPal, our check for Kevin will be in the mail ASAP.

Our prayers go out to Kevin and his family.

I echo Gays' sentiments and my wife and I are sending a check. We don't feel an incentive is necessary.

I’ll PayPal $100 today. Speaking from the knowledge of past family medical experiences, even with the very best insurance coverage, there will be thousands of dollars of out-of-pocket expenses that are not reimbursed. And don’t forget the lost production time for Kevin. Even with everything we can muster, and more, Kevin will be “digging out” of this hole for years.

Good Luck Kevin!

What a sad story! And what a wonderful people here, so ready to help Kevin and his family in their unluck! I would be praying for Kevin, his family and APUG people - if I were no atheist  So I just wish to Kevin and his family to have a faster and better recovery from the accident. Of course that means lots of money even with the insurance, but the health and life are things that sometimes can't be bought for ANY money. And one's dears are the most important things, also. Good luck and health to Kevin's family and Kevin!

Kev is a good guy who needs our support. I have e-mailed him about one of his prints - I can't seem to find the Purchase or Cart buttons on his website.
Kev, you are in my thoughts and prayers and here's to a speedy recovery for your wife and daughter.

If Kevin is about anything at all, it's perseverance. You've got to get to know him to really appreciate what a nice guy is all about. He's humble, passionate and yet incredibly determined. I'm still amazed at how he manages to keep his head held high even through the hardest of times.

When I first happened upon this thread, I thought it had to be a mistake - I speak with Kevin on a regular basis and couldn't believe how much I take for granted. This was indeed sudden and unexpected, and my heart goes out to Kevin, Jill & the kids.

Kevin - Ash & I wish you the very best, and hope that you and your family come out of this even stronger then before.

Money is very tight, but I will try to come up with something that might help them out, at least minimally.

Off hand, I've got a new/sealed 1000 ft roll of 35mm ilford FP4+ labeled "motion picture film". Though I can't be positive, I'm fairly certain it's the same stuff that's sold in 35mm canisters. It's dated 01/03, but it's been refrigerated ever since I got it. This would make for about 200 rolls of 35mm x 36 exposures - I'll gladly ship it to anyone willing to donated whatever they feel it's worth to them. (I'm happy to pay for shipping to the lower-48 states).

I also have a well-used Omega 4x5 Dichro II enlarger. Though it's been through quite a few hands, it's still got plenty of life in it. Comes with chasis, Dichro II color head, baseboard & timer/pwr-supply. If anyone can use this enlarger I'd gladly let you pick it up (11229) for whatever you donate to kevin's paypal account.

Hello Everyone,

When I read this thread, I just broke down and cried, as I have never been so touched as I have from everyone here. Everyone here will always remain special to me for the rest of my life and I can say that APUG is definitely a second family and a very special place. I have never met many of you in person, but I can assure you, you have a friend for life and if I am ever able to help I will. There are no words that can express how thankful and grateful I am. All I ever asked for was a prayer and I am just taken back by everyone’s kindness, love and friendship.

My family and I thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts and if we could we would give every single one of you a hug and a thank you in person. For everyone here I just want to say thank you and God bless you, as there are just no words, none, that can thank you enough.

There are a few that have mentioned ordering prints from my site and all I can say is thank you again, you are just amazing and wonderful. I am just speechless and very humbled. I have fixed the links and it should be working now.

I hope one day I can meet everyone in person to thank you and shake your hand.

Again, I cannot thank everyoen enough for all the prayers and help they have offered as you are just amazing and very special.

God bless everyone and thank you again for everything.

Your friend,

Kevin Saitta

Paypal sent.

How old is Kevin's daughter? I work at Macy's and I personally know Santa. I can speak to him on her behalf.

First of all What a great group of people, 2nd - Thanks Ryan for letting us know and 3rd for those that are not able to help out with money, can tell you that your good thoughts and prayers are appreciated as well.

Just a reminder as well, that this sounds like a long term situation, so what we can not give to help now, maybe we can do in a month, 2 months or more. The most we can do is continue our support, there will be many ups and downs - and from what I know of this group everyone will be there to help Kevin.

Good Wishes to everyone!!
