At the art school where I work Apx 100 has been the staple film for medium & large format shooters the students have consistently preferred it to Fp4+ and kodak emulsions. Students seeking the ultimate image quality in medium format & 35mm would always turn to apx-25, nowdays they are learning to love Efke 25 but in 4x5" there is no film that really compares to Apx-100.

On behalf of a great number of students who are taking to large format B&W with renewed vigour I would like to put in a vote for apx 100 to be reinstated in 4x5" as well as asking for a firm committment to the continued production of apx 100 and 400 (another beautiful film) in rollfilm.

I would also like to request on my own behalf that Apx 100 become available again in 8x10" sheets. (ha ha ha ha)

"Ah, the growing list of dreamers. Let it go. It's dead and buried."

Well, you're a cheerful fellow! Check out some of the utter crap on tv. Some of that stuff is only there after, having been axed by the producers, were reinstated because said producers were set-upon by a small but vocal group of viewers. It can't possibly hurt for us to try too, can it?

C'mon guys, they're a "business".. They discontinued Agfa 25 for a reason. Just like Kodak is discontinuing TechPan. Anyone wanna take a wild guess on why?

The good news is, I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

It would be great to see APX25 in production again.

A few years ago when I realize APX 25 was gone, I went out to buy all APX25 films I can find in the market. I ended up only got a few cases of 35mm films. It was a late action so I did not get any 120 or sheet films.

When Kodak Verichrome discontinued I bought cases of Verichrome 120.

Now Tech Pan is gone, I got cases of TP too.

Next, Ilford, Polaroid, Kodak, ...

Although I am coming a bit late to this thread, I too would like to voice my hope that AGFA will see the light and begin manufacturing APX 25 again. If AGFA believes that APX 25 is beyond profitability, then the decision-makers at AGFA should consider licensing the process to another manufacturer, or group of enterprising individuals to resume production. I am confident that a price and economy of scale can be found that will satisfy everyone.

Titrisol, it's not just you. Efke 25 is as good as it gets now. Time moves along, people don't. Lamentation, gnashing of teeth and petitioning won't work in this case. tim

If that were the case the product(s) would still be made. Don't hold your breath for APX 25 to come back in any format.
