Here on APUG, The Analog Photography Users Group, we appreciate and purchase high quality items and we let our fellow photographers know about it. Agfa films are highly praised, especially APX 25 and their sheet films. And since APX 25 and all sheet films have been discontinued, we now seriously miss them. All you need to do is check the film section on ebay for proof. Medium format APX 25 is selling for more than double (and sometimes triple) the original retail cost.

So, as a community, we are asking you, Agfa Photo, to reconsider making APX 25 in all sizes and to bring back sheet film.

The names below are just some of the photo community who would applaud your move to bring back this film and I am sure most, if not all who signed here, will purchase it as well.

Thanks,

ps...for those of you who sign this...please tell as many other folks as well.

I think there is someway to make it into an email where the names are inserted then sent on to the next person. Just a thought. I just hate using my last name on line when there are so many stalkers.

Well Hell

I still have a stash of 120 APX-25 in my freezer which has been kept for special occasions... bringing it back would let me free my shutter!

I'm just wondering how much it would take to tempt you to sell it (and how I could glue it into 4x5 sheets ...... in the dark)

Come on Agfa!
Besides APX 25, I'm down to my last 25 sheets of APX 100 too.

I would LOVE to have this film back on the market. Look how well Efke is doing. I just spoke to my dad who lives in Sweden, and he says retailers are more often than not totally sold out of their Efke stock.

I would like for Agfa to consider bringing their sheet film and APX25 back. Or at least let someone else use the emulsion to sell under a different name. Like Efke and Adox. My last roll of 120 APX25 was used this spring, and it is sorely missed. Such an amazing film.
Why is it that they discontinue one of the films that gave them a great reputation, while they're still manufacturing the, to put it mildly, mediocre Vista consumer C41 film? Beats me.

Please Agfa, please, please, please, with sugar on top - start producing this stuff of marvel again.

Efke are not doing that well. The company that produces these films is Fotokemika in Croatia (ex-Yugoslavia) and has been shrinking its workforces from a once 5000 strong photochemical powerhouse to, within their latest restructure moves, a more modest company of around 50 employees.

Availability of materials is not really related to growth...

Shall the "New Agfa" following this management buy-out and venture investment not too perhaps move to consolidate?

Look at what's left of the once OrWo (the original Agfa) giant .. The Wolfen film factory was the second largest in the world with 15000 employees and now its down to a few little companies like Calbe...

Tony Perkes - Agfa you've already taken my developer custom off Ilford now I have found Rodinal. Give us APX 25 in 35mm (and other formats) and you'll get even more of my custom. I shoot 20 - 30 rolls of film a week and I'm sure there are many more here that shoot similar amounts. You have a willing customer base here so show us loyalty and you'll have ours.

I loved APX 25 and 100 in roll film and deeply regret never having the opportunity to try them in sheet film. Come on Agfa, buck the trend and re-introduce these most excellent films.
