For those in the Atlanta area the High Museum has a large permanent exhibit of a portion of the museum's photography collection. My Brother and I visited it yesterday and were impressed by the scope of the collection. I saw works by William Christenberry; a Southerner specializing in rural subjects. I hadn't known of him before! Here's a link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Christenberry
The Museum also has an exhibition of Yayoi Kusama's works: https://www.high.org/exhibition/yayoi-kusama-infinity-mirrors/
Be aware that admission is via advance tickets, and viewing of the optical installations is limited to perhaps a minute.

Did you take any photos of the exhibits? If so, lets have em.
Sorry, no pictures. The exhibition is well mounted and properly lighted. The "guard" or whatever such folks are now called, was cordial and a photography fan. He seemed to really enjoy being there.

Photos not allowed?

You guys (or any gals that hap to be here) need to document these show. They are only up for a short time. Put them up on the Internet Archive.

Now, I can't poo-poo you too much, as I didn't have this concept until a couple years ago and never documented shows myself. I mean...I'm already there...why not document?

It does not take that long to document. Look the show over to your satisfaction. Then go back and blast off some photos. I will be putting up some vintage industrial photos called 'Sugar & Salt' shortly. It too about 5 - 10 minutes to shoot the series. Really no time at all. The most I've ever spent was for Irving Penn, Andy Warhol. Araki and Eugene Richards. Even then I shot few hundred pix in a hour or so. And that was while I looked at the show a few times over.

Photography is generally allowed in the High, but no flash and no tripods. Some exhibits may not allow photography per the policies of the owners of the items. I recall one exhibit which allowed cell phones, but no "real" cameras! Go figger....
