4. Finally back home to the mother ship - Síle

Chris

While I'm beginning to feel somewhat aged by the title of "mothership" :smile:cry:smile: .. And while it still has to travel to a couple of Countries on it's way... it is so good to see my baby on it's way home!

I don't think it's the title that adds the age. It's all that time it's been away from home!

Sile, planet earth is blue and there's nothing we can do, but I think your spaceship knows which way to go:D

I certainly hope so Black Dog... at this stage I think we need all the good luck, and home seeking aliens that we can get! :alien:

Hello to all from New York City! The cameras arrived today, and all appears well. Will try to shoot tomorrow or Friday and send it on its way to lovely Rhode Island...

Almost home, Sile!

Aaah.... I feel a tear in my eye and a song in my heart.... though I'm not uncrossing my fingers just yet!
Thanks for the update Shawn.. we're lookin' good!

hallo

good to see that is coming to an end.

I don't even remember what this member function is supposed to be about anymore....

The lines between camera 6 and 7 blurred a long time ago (thanks no doubt to a few liters of wine along the way!)

I was wondering if there were ever cameras one to five as I have heard no mention of them up to now.

Did any arrive home and if so, where are the pictures?

Steve.

Can anyone sum up and put forward a brief history of the predecessors?

And if Camera 1 still is out there and about to rise from the dead, I'm in, there will be a great season for frozen winter pictures here shortly!

Happy reading.

I was part of #3.
My shot of the dam was one of the survivors. A few frames were lost in the travel around the world... something about the film not riding on its guides properly inside the camera.

I joined in #4 and my shot was one of those lost in that round.. however I finally managed to get two of the exact same shot in round #5!
I've been at the helm with Tim since camera #6 and have aged at least 100 years since it first landed on my doorstep.. but lets face it, I'd have nothing to do without it

When all else fails, there's always picking and scratching.

And I've been doing both of those in abundance since Camera 7 left home....

A bun dance... Is that where you shake your booty? :whistling:

Shawn baby...

That camera on it's way to Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations?

Dear tim in san jose and everyone else waiting so patiently:

CONFESSION TIME: I shot the picture only this afternoon. I went out last week on an overcast day not remembering that the thing had Ektar in it (did everyone know this?). Seriously, the light was perfect for a nice Tri-X shot. Ektar?? Color?? What a dirty trick!!

Can you tell I haven't paid too close attention to the posts from a million days ago?

So retried again today (nice and sunny here in NYC today). I will try to box it up and get it to our Mr. Nanian within the next couple of days. Preparing for my law exams after that, so just in time!

Regards,

Shawn

The question is... is there a bar you have ever passed?

Me neither.

Thanks,

Didn't you get the memo on that?
I bet you're still not putting a cover sheet on the TPS reports either.
