Thank you for posting this to the forum anyway. There are a great deal of people here who cared about Ari, and I remember him very fondly. I sometimes think of his enthusiasm and make it an example for myself.

Arristotelis was a good man, and a genuine one as well. He always spoke his mind to me, without reservation. He was for a time an APUG fixture. I am so sad to hear that he is gone. He was a good photographer.

Thomas,
Aris was a really great example of a man. Thats what actually made his loss so painful to us. Us, who lived the sad period of his illness in person, we were astonished by his fighter spirit. Maybe, i have never seen somebody fighting such an uneven fight with so much power. He had great people supporting him, a great brother, great parents and lots of friends surrounding him till the end. And his smile was always there. Despite the terrible pains he was goin'through.
Guys like Ari are really a miss for society.
We gathered a fistful of photografers here to keep up and running his darkroom, actually their family asked us to keep it running. I'm sure he's smiling at us for this.
Unfortunately a few days before passing he asked me to list his cameras for sale. I think of putting some classifieds here in APUG before Ebay. He had a great equipment collection. His family will keep one of his Hasselblad bodies with a lens and the rest is going for listing.
Thank you all guys for the love you showed by reading the older post of his passing.. Really thanks.

thank you for posting this.
ari was a great person
i wished i had met him when
he was in boston ( and i was there )
... i am sure in person he was even more gregarious
than he was on the internet.
he has been missed.

Thank you for posting. RIP

Rest in Peace, Ari. You will missed and well remembered.
