I remember him well, such a passionate, engaged and humorous man. He will be missed.

So, so sad.

For those who didn't have the opportunity to enjoy him here on APUG, here is his profile page: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I got the sad news yesterday, from the cyclist forum we frequented both (as well)... I am really sorry for this so unfair outcome... met him a few years ago in Heraklion and went for a coffee, he was a fine lad and I'm going to miss him...

I'm shocked and sad to hear this as well! I always enjoyed his posts and images and on occasion felt like we were suffering through similar issues. RIP Ari.

Rest in peace, dear Ari. I won't forget the talks with you in the chatroom here.

So young, what a tragedy, what a loss. Farewell:sad:

Ari was full of fire and passion. We had a number of interesting conversations over the years. Though he often expressed doubts and suffered the occasional "artist's crisis", he seemed to live without fear, and truly lived his life by his own rules. I knew he was ill, and his Facebook posts traced the sad story of his illness and treatment. I will miss him a great deal.

This is sad.

I loved that Ari... humour and intelligence..

................... much younger age than mine... Life is fragile.

I knew he was ill, and his Facebook posts traced the sad story of his illness and treatment. I will miss him a great deal.

Last time I chatted with him he was still able to do it by himself.
Not much later he still did it with someone's help, but all we had since then were sporadic messages, without any trace of sadness.
Following the FB timeline, to me, is far too sad.

Early this year he stopped messaging or updating his profile, which was a very bad signal to me.

Oh my, very sad news indeed. Ari was one of my favorite people on APUG. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
RIP Ari.

It's sad seeing this news. I'm also shocked at the young age. I know what is said about fair in life but this is just unfair. My sincere condolences to the family.

An old member is dead. (Arigram)

Hi all.
Sadly, i just wanted to report here the loss of an old member of APUG and a great friend of mine, the oldschool photographer Aristotelis Grammatikakis known here as Arigram. http://arigram.gr/en/info.php
Aristotelis was a huge friend and promoter of art photography, a great artist, shooting with his Hasselblads and his Rolleiflex mainly, maniac of the BW development and enlarging.
For us, his friends, it's a big loss, the damn cancer took his life after his return from China, where he was for some tratidional art studies in painting.
I've posted this because i knew how much he loved this forum and i think he was loved for his great spirit by quite a lot of members here.
Wish him to rest in peace, as peaceful as his darkroom.

Thanks for posting. We were already aware: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Ari has been missed.

Oh, i m sorry.. Just had a conversation with his brother yesterday and he mentioned this.
Yes he has been missed indeed..
