Are there Canons that handle like the F100?

Plastic shell OVER a metal frame/body. You forgot to meniton this about the EOS-3.

Also, the EOS-3 has more focus points then the F100, and eye-control focus too.

Also, the EOS-3 is sealed against weather and dust. Is the F100?

Your tone is getting a little antagonistic. There's plenty of that over at the digital forums. I like this forum because it's much more friendly. Let's keep it that way. Canon or Nikon, it doens't really matter.

Most people here aren't that concerned about multitudes of AF points and eye-control. That's kind of what analog is all about -- taking control back from the computers. In my experience, the eye-control never worked that well anyway, which is why Canon abandoned it.

The EOS 3 is a fine camera, but it has limitations like all cameras do. As to the F100 weather-sealing: I don't know what the official line is, but mine has performed well outside in a variety of weather conditions, including fairly heavy rain.

I happen to use Nikon - because my first new SLR was an original FE. Liked it, (still like it for street shots) and stuck with em. I'm sure that if my first new SLR had been an AE-1 I'd be using Canon. As for weather-sealing I have an FM, FE, (yup - that one!!) F3, D 90 and F-100. They are all totally black from a fire - huge amounts of very hot smoke from burning plastics. This happened one year ago. Last week every one of them powered up and the shutters fired. Just got to find a way of cleaning them, but I'm betting I'll be using them.

Canon vs. Nikon lenses ?

mount each on the same Canon camera & shoot Gigabit film.
