Basically this is it. The core systems of APUG & DPUG will be the same, however each site will be it's own unique entity. One user account and profile will work on both sites. Threads can be moved between sites, new posts or searches can search both sites, you have one PM box between sites, etc. APUG will seem no different unless you decide to 'activate' and opt-in to DPUG as well. If you want no part of DPUG then you will not even know it exists. If you opt in, then when you click "new posts" you see everything on both sites, same for gallery, articles etc. This allows us to keep APUG 100% to it's charter and for those who want to dabble in Hybrid/Digital they can opt-in to that. The reverse also applies to DPUG, if a DPUG member wants only DPUG they do not opt-in to the connection to APUG. This also greatly simplifies my management of both systems (1 database, 1 set of backups, one admin panel and more). If you have further questions just let me know.

Thanks again everyone for the massive show of support!

That sounds perfect!

So basically you need to maintain two idenities to keep the peace or there would be constant non stop:

Thanks again everyone. What an amazing turnout, hard to believe! Feeling really good about these upgrades being so well funded, I'll be bringing in the best help possible.

Hi All, sorry for the lack up campaign updates. I've just done an update and we pretty much hit 5k USD! Thanks again to all who contributed. I already have coders working on porting several of the old custom APUG functions to the new system. So far extremely happy with how it's shaping up.

On a side note, things are a bit hectic with the personal life. We had our home on the market for a while and finally sold so have been scrambling to find a new place, pack things up, etc. This will calm down mid July but development will continue in the background. I will probably wait until we're settled at the next place before doing the final migration.

I'll post updates and new screenshots as we progress on the build

That's a really good question. Sometimes I worry that he never gets out with a camera because he's too busy babysitting all of us...

Definitely planning on it. There is 1/4 acre there, quite woodsy so I was thinking a 10ft shipping container or workshop/shed converted to a small darkroom. I'll have to explore some various options. Can't wait
