Got my 120 rolls today, I might be the last one to get it, being far out here in Hawaii. Amazing, I really thought Kodak forgot me.

I live within an hour of Rochester and only got my film a couple days ago. I don't think location has much to do with it.

I received 4 rolls yesterday. I was suprised as I was certain Kodak completed this months ago. I was actually planning on buying some Portra to test.

Same here. A nice mailing tube, 4 rolls of 120 color, and an offer for a discount if I ordered >$125 worth by the end of January, 2007. Very pleased, all in all. I may have to drop their customer service a nice thank you.

Still haven't seen mine. I'd pretty much given up on it but maybe I'm just low on the list...

Haven't received mine yet either... at this point I don't expect to receive it at all. If it does come, cool... if not, don't really care.

I bought some 400NC, exposed it in Bryce canyon, and got the processed results back yesterday. Outstanding!

I would say that if you haven't gotten any yet don't think it won't come. I got mine with this bunch and it's been a long time since the first ones got theirs. Who knows what guides the process.

I was surprised to see on the 27th in my mailbox a round packing tube with four 120 rolls. Nice!

I'd like to see more of these offers from Kodak, so that it gives us film users a chance to show our interest and commitment.

I guess even with offers like this its ultimately up to them as to how they want to listen to us.

My originally requested rolls finally arrived today, all 120 as asked for, sans coupon. Makes my Rolleiflex happy!

Sigh, not only do Canadians not get Kodak's free Portras deal, even the rebate's doesn't include us. Anyone received any free 35mm Portras and doesn't use them?

I had to BUY my FREE rolls of Kodak samples off EBAY because I couldn't get them up here in Canada. My closest store that carries pro film will no longer be carrying Kodak at all (if what they say is true), so that means driving over 100km just to get my film from now on. The rolls I bought off Ebay were the sample ones Kodak gave out, so the sellers felt the need to make money off these free rolls of film.

It is well-known that the free offer was limited to the U.S. It is also well-known that the free offer has long since expired. So, why carry on like this?

It's too bad that your local guy no longer carries Kodak; but that's life. A pox on his house!

Anyway, the film is readily available from many retailers with web-based ordering capabilities so you are not denied. Just buy the stuff on-line and use it!

Hey George,
I guess Im just upset people were profitting off Kodaks generousity. The people got it free, but they expected money in return for giving it to someone else. I guess that was my point.

I order from online vendors, more like call them, but it took quite a long time before they got the new films in. Its not an issue for me now since I have those new rolls from Ebay. The stores in BC just now started getting the new stuff.

Exactly. I don't get it why people request for free things which they themselves don't use, and then try to sell it after. It's this sort of selfish mentality which doesn't benefit the party giving out the free item(s).

I haven't even seen the new Portras being sold in-stores yet. All the Kodak film stock they have for 35mm are close to a year old.

The store next to my office (in New Westminster, British Columbia) doesn't sell a lot of film anymore, so their 120 Portras are all the new type. They are pretty expensive though.

They still do good quality analog machine prints though (up to 8" x 12" in size) on Kodak paper, using Kodak chemistry, and their staff bemoans the diminution in quality between film snapshots, and digital snapshots, so I like to to frequent them, when I can.

Hi Braxus,

Sorry if my prior post came off a bit harsh. Not my intention.

Yes, I share your feelings regarding the eBay "re-sellers". I saw those listings a while back while looking for other 120 film. Really ticked me off too. Kind of like ticket scalpers. You know, folks who couldn't care about the game or concert but have managed to garner a way to profit off of those who do!

My guess is that the new Portas will become much more available by late Spring - once the old stocks runs down.

I've only got a roll or two left of my freebies. I'm saving them for taking pics of Spring flowers. Depending on what I see - I may then be ready to "adopt" Porta for the long haul.
