My friend in Seattle finally got the rolls I had sent to him. There was Portra 800, 400VC, 160NC, 160VC, and 400NC. I was suprised the 800 was in there. That seems to be 5 rolls. Its too bad I had 35mm sent as I would now use them more in 120 now.

Interesting about the 800. That's the first I've heard of them including it. Certainly wasn't part of the original "promo".

Nice little bonus.

Please let us know what you think of it.

Geez, I got mine in NYC (and second shipment in upstate NY) back in November! It's the "westies" who've been waiting!

I suppose I should have been a little more specific - Has anyone in New England received his/her free film yet? I suspect the pattern is more population based rather than geographic. i.e. people in large cities and populous states are receiving film first.

I contacted my friend that got the films and he made in error the 800 speed. He never openned the tube, but just said what was on the cover. So it doesn't seem like I got the 800 as thought before. Fine with me.

Just got delivery today. Nicely styled tube with 160NC, 160VC, 400NC, and 400VC, all 120 roll film. A few brochures included and other paperwork included. The odd one is the Rebate, which expires on 31 January; barely enough time to try out the films and place an order that would qualify for the rebate . . . oh well, no big deal on that. I bill out film as an expense, so I don't have much need for rebates. Nice little letter included from Scott DiSabato of Kodak; will probably send him a little letter or e-mail in the near future as thanks.

The brochure and packaging are nicely done; I could tell they spent some money getting these materials correct. While geared more towards the wedding and portrait realm of professionals, I do appreciate them using nice images and design layout.

I shoot mostly transparency films, so the trick will be seeing if I like the new Portra negative films enough to buy more in the future. I could always try some cross processing with the 400NC and 400VC . . . anyone, always willing to try out new films.

Ciao!

It's nice to see films finally starting to arrive. I'd ordered mine last October, and when December rolled around with no film, I called EK to find out what was going on.

They said they were setup for only 32k orders but received over 55k orders!
So they were having to make up some more. Informed them of my situation, and was told to call back 2 weeks later if nothing showed up.

Well, nothing did, so I called back as instructed, and was told 4 rolls were going out that day, but he could't guarantee pre-Xmas delivery. It just so happened they all 4 arrived on the 24th, 1 each of all 120! Just what I'd asked for.

They are in the freezer though, waiting for a trip to San Antonio in March. I'm sure someone would have posted their results by then.

Also, while I never thought to look on ePay for them, I hope the sellers who were profiting from the sale of free film (especially the jerk who had "tons of it") were dealt with legally.

Keep shooting film, it's they only way they can keep making it!

I just got mine in the mail today...4 rolls of 120 (2 160 and 2 400) all in a tube with some interesting literature. It seems to me that Kodak spent a decent amount on this project, which I see as a good side as far as film goes. Anyway, if anyone from Kodak is reading this....THANKS!!

And I got my Kodachrome 200 that I ordered so that I could be sure to shoot before it's gone gone gone.

You're  about getting something for nothing?

Sounds like you need a 'tude tune up! :surprised:
