Any thoughts on the Kiev 4a?

Afaik these black Kievs are aftermarket paintjobs. Or I'm misremembering. We had a thread about that a while ago, yurets.perfect still sells them on eBay.

I really want someone to make me a black Zorki 1. Or I want a couple of days off to do it myself.

Clearly your wrong, they were made for the cosmonauts and had some left over, so they stuck a badge on it and gave them to the KGB, so they could tell who was in and who wasn't.
Mine is a perfect example of a factory paint job, no marks on any screws, the white indentation is perfect. Looks as good as my black f cameras.
I believe there was only one person in the factory doing the painting and Olga who was in charge of the painting booth, had a taste for potato and cabbage soup and no one else would go near her, hence the low production run.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. Anyway, I checked my e-mails. Ebayer grizzly33bear sells Kievs that they say are painted by technicians at his workshop. Yurets.perfect says the ones sold by them were done at the Kiev factory.
