Well, I'm here! Nice :D

Now I have to tell you who I am, hoping my english is good enough for you to understand...

I'm italian, born in north Italy (Genova) and now living in south Italy (Palermo).
46 yo, working in a Fiat plant testing new cars before they are on the market.
Loving life, motorcycles and photograpy of course!

My cameras are some old Canon FD-system (F1, FTb and FT) with different lenses in FL and old-FD series, plus a Nikon kit with a f801s camera (f8008 in USA) and three zoom lenses by Sigma and Tokina

I digitalize my pictures with two old film-scanners, a Canon FS2720 and an Acer ScanWit 2720s, using Vuescan in a Linux pc

That's all, for the moment...
Ciao from Italy

Welcome! You were wise to join APUG. I hope you enjoy the community.

Hi and welcome to APUG. Your English is fine.

What he means is much better than most Americans :D

Welcome to Apug, I'll be in Italy again in a few weeks, great country, and warm hearted people always friendly. My wife works for an Italian company and when you get a crowd of Italians together they can be great fun, breaking out into collective song at the least excuse, jokes flying left right and centre.

Ian

Hello and a warm welcome to APUG! I also have some of the old Canon FD system.

Jeff

Welcome to APUG. I think that you will find a lot of useful information here, along with the camaraderie of other film users.

Good Lord!
Stop please, you make me feel so ashamed ...

Benvenuto.
Fotograficamente parlando sei molto fortunato a vivere in Sicilia (beh vivere laggiù deve essere bello anche per altri motivi. Conosco un pò di Siciliani e devo dire che sono eccezionali).

English speakers ! We're about to conquer apug ! Shortly the official language here will be Latin ...

Benvenuto, davdesmo.

I hope there's room for a Norwegian in the chorus.

Ciao e Benvenuto!

Welcome to APUG

Hi! Many thanks to all the friends who welcome me

I'll not be a frequently user of Apug, due to my work time, but I'm happy to be here

Ciao!

Welcome from Southern California, davdesmo. So, which Ducati do you have?

HI from Norway!

You might be interested that oine of my first cameras, and certainly my first 35mm camera was a Ferrania Lince3, with a Steinheil Cassar 2,8/45mm lens, and a vario shutter. Had it for 30 years, then stupidly gave it away, now have another that was recently excercised, with good results!

Im *kinda* interested in post-war italian cameras (the Lince3 was german-built, by Daccora), can you point us in the right direction?

Erik

@ lxdude: I own a '95 900SS, a '89 750 Indiana and a '71 450 Scrambler

@ Erik: before coming in Sicily I was living 50km far from Ferrania plant, near Savona (NW Italy) and I remember when I was young (SOB, it's a lot of time ago!) people using Ferrania cameras. But I never use it, only Ferrania films sometime (the most important was the ScotchColor 3200, made in Ferrania plant, simply fantastic!)
I don' know who can help you for your research, but I can try to ask some friend in an Italian photo forum

Ciao from Sicily

I have book in the UK with a huge number of makes listed & described and more than 50% had disappeared in 2 or 3 years. I have many BJP Almanacs (yer books) with the camers as well. I'll look when I'm back late Autumn for you.
