I know that it's not going to be abut Ektachroe but if Kodak decided to introduce an Ektachrome 400 sometime i'd be all over it!!
I heard people talk about Fuji Provia 400X like its the holy grail, how good was it?I heard a lot about it with astrophotography, it has some properties that made it usefull for that.

I suppose an E-6 400 speed film would be nice, you could shoot Rollei Variochrome at 400 but I dont think its as good as Fuji Provia 400X

Rollei VarioChrome is just a bunch of old expired Agfa E-6 Stock they bought and re-spooled.
I have never shot it but it was loved by a lot of people.
Exposed as ISO 400 it had an RMS granularity of 11, which is 1 more than Kodachrome 64!
It also could be pushed to 800 or 1600 with very little loss in quality, just an incredibly useful film.

No way it's a new or resurrected film.
What makes you think that?

It is film-related.... a new kind of scanner? No, Kodak is already selling a re-branded Evedyo E10 PRO as their Kodak Scanza.

Hmm... a slide projector? doubt it, tons of those around for throwaway prices. Kodak is not even out yet.

New chemicals? a K-14 service?

A digital-film hybrid camera like their new super-8 film camera but for 35mm? which also safes the digital images on a card.

A new super-8 projector that supports the 16:9 gate option of the new super-8 camera? I suppose that is an option.

E-6 Film mailers would be nice, i am lucky to have access to an in-house E-6 lab that only started a few months ago, but many don't.
Perhaps they should sell a version of the new E100 with paid for processing?

That is really cool! shows there is some progress in film processing availability. That is very good.

Did you talk to them as to why they started processing E-6 again?

It's not that they started again, it's a studio run buy a young couple who are also film shooters and they used to offer only C-41 and B&W but since last summer also do E-6 with a new Jobo they have.
They even gave me a few rolls of Velvia 50 for free just to try it out because i said i'd like to try Vevia 50, i'm lucky.

It's going to be a re-launch of their instant camera line.

I can't tell you how I know, but I know this one.

Didn't they already release that Printomatic camera? saw one today at a local camera store.

Remember that this teaser is on the Kodak Professional facebook page.
So something related to the materials and processes that those Professionals who continue to use film or have prints made on colour photographic paper would be most likely.

You are so trusting. I wish I could be. I hope you are right.

I’d rather they just say what they have to say when they are ready to say it.

Yes!!!!!!

I need some VHS tapes!!!!!!!
I have been wanting to get some S-VHS tapes to make an analog copy of some video files, but I can't buy any new ones. So I would like that.

I am thinking about buying some Maxell or Fuji professional S-VHS tapes in bulk, NOS.

Do they make cine (8, 16, 35mm) recordings too? that would be cool.

Anyways, it is great that you have this in your community. They sound like nice people who would continue their processing service long after any commercial processing labs ceased to exist.

Do they have a website where they post their photos?

Send them my regards.

Well, if history is any guide, Kodak is about due to release another whole new film format and a bunch of new cameras to put them in. I'm guessing it's going to be 224. A 24mmx24mm sized negative that fits in a self loading roll (like the APS), only it has a magnetic band along the bottom edge instead of the second row of perforations that store GPS, time/date, plus link up with your Facebook page and some facial recognition software to automatically record who was in your photo. As an added bonus, the black data band prints white and gives it that classic Polaroid look. Of course, it won't have a yellow color cast, because it's made for scanning only, not printing. And when you have it developed, they don't send you back the negatives, but instead load it up to your Facebook account directly. All of us will hate it of course, but it's not geared towards us. It's geared towards the ex-hipster who's turning into a soccer mom/dad who needs a less hassle film for keeping up with their kids, but still retains that "analog feel".

Kodak is buying Ferrania!

The purchase is being made because Kodak is looking for experience on how to launch a new still film.

I'd guess either a new Skateboard or Christmas Lamps...

It’s got to be the return of the wonderfully grainy Recording Film 2475. This time on a less curly film. And perhaps all their old Kodalith papers!! What else could it be?

I usually ignore these attempts at humor, but here goes. I'm rooting for Super-XX and double-weight Azo, the latter in grades 1 through 6 and/or a multicontrast version. Both the film and paper in a large variety of standard -- as well as non-standard, like whole plate -- sizes.

OK, back to reality now.

+1. On everything but the return to reality.

Oh, it is so obvious what it is!!!

Look, there are three young women! Three!!! And they are brides, so that signifies birth. Or, in this case - rebirth!

This is it - I can feel it!

K O D A C H R O M E III !!!

Kodak will start selling black & white single and double weight print paper.
