I heard they’re bringing back every film and paper they’ve ever produced, in every size, but not allowing them to be sold to any Photrio member who has dissed them in the last few years. I’m glad I didn’t revel in their demise...

My prediction is that whatever is announced will be met with dissatisfaction from some members of this forum. What are the odds?

I'm going to derail the fun by stating that if Kodak Alaris (and it would have to be Kodak Alaris) announces the introduction of something new related to film or film developing or colour photographic paper or the preparation of real photographic prints on Kodak Photographic paper, then it will be good news!

I'd guess either a new Skateboard

This “collaboration” between Girl Skateboards and Kodak was a great marketing action. I bought some t-shirts and really wanted the very deck you posted.

It’s, in fact, good for Kodak, as opposed to batteries, Christmas lights or Kodacoin.

I'm not entirely sure that what you say is a necessary condition. Since Kodak produces the film that K Alaris sells, Kodak could make an exciting announcement related to issues of film production, for example. Maybe. Haven't Ektachrome updates been coming from Kodak and KAlaris.

That Facebook page where the teaser came from is only related to Kodak Alaris.
There are currently no products which both entities market.
Eastman Kodak has its own presence on social media - all related to its motion picture related business.
Ektachrome is the only product that both Kodak Alaris and Eastman Kodak have made announcements about. And that is because they are developing two new but related products - still film for Kodak Alaris and motion picture film for Eastman Kodak.

One hundred to one that you are correct. As for me, I vote for Ektalure G in 8 x 10, and 11 x 14. Doesn't even have to be MC but we must be able to develop it in Liquidol. I'll bet that combination would be a barn burner. If it IS Kodachrome, I want VIVID colors and Kodak must process it.....Regards!

There ya go.

Agreed, I will bet this is a lab service to get prints made. This would be great as Ilford is doing a good job with black and white.
If Alaris wants to keep selling paper they need someone to print it. I love the Ektalure G and Azo. But I would take Kodak professional color papers in cut sheets, not the mettallica stuff just the best heavy weight Endura portrait paper in 8x10, 11x14 (special order in bigger sizes once a year)

Your arguments are compelling! Kodak's pre-announcement, announcement sure made it sound like they were talking about still film. But maybe they were really only going to announce something motion picture related. Why the wedding photo then? Oh, well.

Kodak (as in Eastman Kodak) have made no announcement.
That site where the teaser about the pending announcement came from has nothing to do with the motion picture film company, Eastman Kodak. It is a promotional and informational vehicle for the company that does market still film, photo-chemicals and paper and support for photo-labs - Kodak Alaris. They are the ones who target people like pro wedding photographers.
Eastman Kodak has no role in that industry (or in any other industry related to still film) other than to manufacture what Kodak Alaris buys from them.
EDIT: as it says on that facebook site: "To learn more, visit www.kodakalaris.com"

They're going to make Dry Plates again. But digital. And it'll have electrolytes

Ha,ha. Ok. I'm blaming the cold medicine I've taken. I believe I've read everything backwards this evening. It doesn't seem so bizarre when I read it left to right.

Mea Culpa,

Maybe not a new product or service. Might be offering HC-110 available in 55-gal drums ... shipping included.

It's Kodachrome.

They announced Ektachrome bring back and then shortly after slipped words about Kodachrome.
They kept talking about how difficult it is to bring back the 'processing' equipment for Ektachrome and at the same time told people on twitter that were worried about E6 processing that it is readily available commercially. We can process E-6 at home. That really shouldn't be that hard for Kodak to reinstate.
It's gotta Kodachrome

Guys, guys, we gotta be analytical and logical. What do we have here? A picture of a bride or several brides. What does that mean?
-----> Kodak is gonna marry someone or several.

This means Kodak will marry like Fuji, or Ilford AND Foma AND Agfa all at once.

Its that easy.
Hope this wedding won´t overlap with the royal wedding.

+1
No matter what it is some people will inevitably bitch and moan about it lol

Another thing i should mention is that some people over at the Film Photographers Facebook group claim to know people who have already pre-release test rolls of Ektachrome from Kodak...

Wow, Kodak, you shouldn't have! I thought that you wouldn't tell everyone that it's my birthday on Friday. As for the cryptic clues, even I'm baffled!
