Announcement from Clay, Turnip

I'm just wondering how to merge this with the "Edible Developers" thread.

What... an Edible Photographers thread???? ...

I'm "rooting" for you, Clay! The Cult of the Great Turnip will be generous with well-rooted photographers and parsnip-monious with others! We applaud t-radish-tional photography!!!!

(I think I have too much time on my hands...)

Has anyone else ever read through SIX pages of a thread and not understand anything in any of the posts? Leave it up to loony Apugers to talk about turnips and radishes for 55 posts.

Well, whatever this thread is about:

Merry Christmas or Holidays EVERYONE!!!!!!!

We would worry about you, or anyone else who could understand this thread.
And a Merry Christmas to all.

Hmm... So how many Turnips does it take to change an enlarger bulb?

(No - the answer is not 42!)

So...you want someone to shed a cold light on that, do you? The condensed answer is one. He holds the bulb, and turnsip.

OK - it really is time for all of you loons to step away gently from the keyboard and PC and enjoy this day of peace.

Besides, why would a turnip even need to change a lightbulb? I've thought about this for a whilte, and it doesn't make sense to me.

I am worried about you, Clay. You sell off most of your ULF equipment, and now this!!

What is next?

Sandy

I figured Sandy would turnip sooner or later.

I'm tired of this already. Clay, you should evolve artistically. Then you can call yourself the (make up something new) formerly known as Turnip.

Maybe you could use a symbol or something.

Although I do think the "one name" thing works for you very well.

Brussel sprouts are actually quite nice, when they're cooked right. They should be firm and still slightly crisp, and not (as they usually are) boiled to a yellowish mush.

Ole
Artichoke.

Yes - firm and slightly crisp, with just a touch of lemon!

As this thread has been overwhelming; I think that I should vegetate for a while.

I feel inspired to partake in this profound new movement.

but feel we as new followers and establishers should possibly consider a more elegant and metaphysical nomenclature.
clay, perhaps you should henceforth be known as Brassica Rapa to the general public and uninformed (or Turnip to you "peers").
This will serve multiple purposes.
1. this shall establish a certain level of an elitist mentality
2. in turn, a certain grandeur and respectability will be brought to our chosen creative expression
3. all of us who never sat at the "cool kids table" will finally have a clique to call our own

I shall be known as Agaricus bisporus ... or the Bello Fungo (nickname)
