Just finished printing 7 of the 9 10x8 plt/pd prints to find a small fault on the neg which I hadn't seen as I was printing - an earlier piece of paper couldn't have been dry enough and I have plt/pd on the neg  Whilst its small I notice and am in a quandry as to what to do - Need to think as I really like this neg! I've time but....

I love the alt print exchange. Today, Dan-Dan-the-UPS-Man arrived with a beautiful polariod transfer from gr82bart, (aka Art, aka www.ArtLiem.com). The print is a delicate little jewel of a transfer--a beautiful, yet unique, woodland scene.

Thank you much, Art.

To those in my group, It finally rained, which means the combines have come to a hault, and I can get to printing. I mixed all the chemicals today and will let them age over night. Should be able to print tomorrow.

Thanks again, Art.

I got a neat "hi-tech" print from Steve Allen who made a digital contact print using a high pressure, low volume (HPLV) sprayer to coat the liquid emulsion onto a piece of plastic coated textured canvas. Use a rubber back and I've got a kewl mouse pad!

The image, the texture, the materials, the process - all very wonderful! Thanks so much.

Regards, Art.

Erin, Phil & Carl. Dispatched the images today via USPS priority mail. Erin's should arrive in two to three days, the rest should arrive within a week.

Enjoy.

Group 4 sent today

I sent mine out today via priority mail. Sorry they aren't matted, but I don't feel comfortable doing mat cutting yet. Hope everyone enjoys the print.

Just waiting for two more addresses... Phill's Print

I have pm'd those concerned and images will be in the post on Friday!

I have recieved a great kallitype image from Phill - the detail that has been rendered is superb and a lovely range of tones. I wish I could offer some constructive criticism but I can't!!

Take care, Carl

Carl

Thanks for the kind words. I am still in the early stages of kallitype imaging but I like the process but I still need to play with different dev's and toners to vary the output and tune it to the image.
The Cathedral image that I sent you was only the 2nd image that I took especially for kallitype and, infact, the Alt Print Exchange R3 images are No's 9 to 11 in the all time print list. With this in mind I am very happy that you like it and I have gained a little more confidence that I am doing something right.

Now all I need is some time to take images

Thanks

Phill

I think I've got some albumenworthy negs. I'm hoping to print them in the next week or so. In the interest of efficiency, I shot four almost-identical 6x17's on the same roll, so I can print them four-up on a single 8x10" sheet.

Couple more PT/PD prints:

Diane sent a beautiful 5x12 PD print of a park gate. I loke the warm tone and depth. It conveys you into the past.

Allen F sent a 8x10 PT/PD print of two barns. Rich in detail.

I can only wish to get as good as these two. These prints are amazing.

Thanks, Art.

Yesterday I received a wonderful palladium print from rorye. I noted that the date on rorye's write up was 10/31/2006 - my birthday. What a great birthday gift. Thanks so much for your print.
