Are Kodak's current issues with 120 backing paper really just an alien code that we are all misinterpreting?

The Revolog products are interesting, but most of these effects are probably best done with Photoshop (or even better, not done at all). I do tend to like some of the false color emulsions. I find that Lomography Torquise gives everything a "martian" look than can be appealing - Their "Purplechrome" film, however, just makes everything look like brown mush.
I remember a film "Purple" from Lomography. I was interested to this film as I saw examples from it. If I remember corect Lomo stated an IR look with Purple. But this film wasn't just in the near of Kodak EIR. Sad about - because my dreams came from "wrong colors" first noticed in Stanley Kubrik's "2001".
That should have make sense to remember IN 2001 - because there Kodak offered the IR Films (discontinued later).
