Yes, just wanted to know the shelf-life of CD-4 bought from axelcolor in powdered form. Looks like CD-4 from old times have had decent shelf-life, but no guarantee about the currently available CD-4. See for example: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/kodak-cd-4-bulk-purchase.155726/#post-2019731
Brother, there is no guarantee of anything in this universe.
With all due respect to those experts who spoke about this problem.
Mostly they have very deep experiences and they have the utmost respect and appreciation.
- But I see that although I am an obscure man, I was able with the help of God to find an effective solution to this dilemma, and it was an amazing solution.
- The chemical element is kept as it is in a tightly closed plastic package, there is absolutely no problem with that,,
- The problem begins to appear when you use this element, you will be surprised that it does not completely dissolve, but you will also be surprised that it causes the production of some evil oil spots that become like a vampire, merciless for anything, even those stains cause In destroying three pH meters.
Those oil spots kept me from sleeping for weeks. As it is stuck in the lens of the pH meter and no matter what you do after that from attempts to clean the pH meter and eventually the device will be destroyed and will not give you accurate measurements no matter what you do.
As they say, necessity is the mother of inclination.
- At first I got my starting point from my respected Ukrainian colleague Mr. Vova, son of Reverend Yuri. He told me that I advise you to dissolve the CD4 element or any element of the same type in a small glass bowl with 100 ml of water.
- Indeed, I have done this in many experiments, in lukewarm water, then in ice water for a long time with good results, then in water at process temperature, and in the end it was settled that the best thing was to dissolve this element in deionized water that is boiling at a degree Heat 100, with constant stirring and let it cool a little and mix it with the rest of the formula when it reaches its temperature at 52 degrees Celsius.
And it was, and, praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, this is by the grace of God.

I bought mine from them back in 8/2017, a bit more than 4 years ago. It still looks off white and if it darkened at all, it's imperceptible. It has kept very well, but it's stored in an airtight glass jar, in not too high temperatures.

That's very reassuring! Thanks.
