I've combined all posts on this topic and responses in this thread.

well thats not the response i got from you

you told me that you would count the am amount of sheets i had used and give me my money back based on this, as long as a fault could be found by your staff with the paper.
and as i had opened the box before realising the packaging was damaged then i could not have a replacement based on damaged packaging

what a joke, dont force me to post your email to me on flickr

i have today packed up all my cameras for sale threw the awful adox fine print in the bin(i have no idea what kentmere have to do with this issue you dont even sell the stuff)

my darkroom is for sale and i have thrown all my prints in the bin, negs soon to follow.

i have nothing left and all ive got to say is good riddance

photography died for me today

over and out, i no longer am involved in the trade.

This is an astonishing reaction to what is, after all, a relatively simple consumer complaint.

Wow, I agree with Adrian on this. Quite a reaction. Does it warrant packing up the hobby just because of a potential paper problem and all this anger at people who are trying to help you? There is very likely a simple cause to these problems. This site is also very good at helping people figure out what their photo related problems could be. Please try and stick around, and give it some time to fix the problems.

I think we are all glad.

It appears you have a personal grudge against Fotoimpex. All your posts are inconsistent. Today you say "i have today packed up all my cameras for sale threw the awful adox fine print in the bin" but yesterday you told us you'd already done that.

The majority of APUG members are more than willing to support Fotoimpex, along with other companies, in furthering the future of analog photography, yes on a very small number of occasions there are quality problems. This week I had my first ever problem with a manufacturing fault with a film in 40+ years as a photographer over 30 of those professionally. It happens.
Giid luck with what ever you do but please don't use APUG to air ypur sour grapes.

If that's all it takes for you to leave the trade, we're all better off for it.

My dealings with Fotoimpex have been limited, but excellent. I am just now trying out some Adox paper, and will most certainly be getting more.

I have a lot of respect for Mirko and the other representatives of companies that make and sell the products we use for their willingness to participate in these forums, especially when it means putting up with the likes of you.

Sorry that your mileage varied.
Have a nice day.

Wow a drama queen and a troll rolled into one. Juggler, venting off in this community is not going to win you friends or influence people.

I met Mirko a few years back at APUG 06 in Toronto and I was impressed with his commitment to traditional black and white photography. I have not bought direct from Fotoimpex directly but I have used their film over the years with no issues at all. I can't speak to their paper yet.

ps it takes a while to finally pack up an entire darkroom and ditch chems etc, well now its done and so am i

good luck with all your images in the future

Definition of a troll = juggler

He probably made up the entire scenario.

You say you've already thrown the paper in the trash so you can't send it back to Mirko. How convenient. I don't believe you ever had any Adox paper. I think you have nothing better to do than invent stories and "live them" on online forums. It's quite pathetic, really.

????

...
I have the deepest respect for the Adox folks and anyone else out there making it their business to service our needs.

Thanks for posting this valuable information. I will NEVER buy an ADOX product after reading of your experiences. I don't want to become so disillusioned that I have to sell all my gear too! I would probably be so angry I would have to burn all of my family's photographs from the last 100 years as well as torch all the remaining camera stores in my state and then shoot myself and my family as atonement for ever getting interested in photography in the first place. Thank you soooo much for sparing me from this.

I think this has pretty much run its course. Time to move on.
