Firstcall have just listed as new Adox MCP in 12/16, where it comes from I don't know, but I have bought pretty much all my chemistry and paper from them ever since they opened, but time will tell, but they are not currently listing any other Adox paper, maybe they know something we don't
Richard

We have been very honest and clear about the situation of ADOX MCC and MCP:
http://www.adox.de/Photo/mcc-and-mcp-production-situation/

The latest coating run of ADOX Lupex was successful. Next step is starting the confectioning / converting production process.
Polywarmtone has priority concerning the emulsion and coating test runs, followed by MCC (first emulsion tests of MCC have already been started).
Our mid term goal is a fully integrated production of all production steps in our own factory. That is very difficult and ambitious, but we will work very hard for it.

Just a couple at first but over the next year around 200 hundred sheets.
Also, will there be only one grade or more?

Only a couple of sheets is not possible, too low volume. But 200 sheets per one order could perhaps be possible. We will evaluate and calculate it.
LUPEX is a one grade (normal) paper. That will not change.

The ADOX RA-4 is in production and also in stock at our global distributor Fotoimpex. It is planned to offer the color paper again.

This is a piece of really good news I haven't seen Fuji paper cut to 5x7 size for a long time now so great to see that Adox arranged to cut it and box it. A very good price as well

However it seems to be out of stock currently. Any idea when it will be in stock again and will you have Lustre as well as High Gloss?.

Nice to see Adox making it clear that a Sodium safelight is suitable as well.

Thanks

Would Adox be able to look into the feasibility of cutting into sheets some of the RA4 papers currently only offered in roll form? Any or all of Kodak Endura, the Fuji Velvet paper and Fujiflex would be incredibly handy to have in pre-cut sheets - and it would be fine if it was only done as an occasional batch (even if it has to be in one size only - say 20x24") that has to be pre-ordered before you commit to cutting/ packaging.

I meant a couple of boxes, not sheets. Probably will need around 300 sheets over the course of a year, but not all at once.

So you need at least 100 sheets of 4x5". We will look into it with our confectioning engineer whether it may be possible. We will reply when we have a definite answer, please stay tuned.

Hello,

If you go for 100 sheets of 4x5 Lupex boxes ; count me in for at least a box.

Merci d'avance.

So is the long term goal to manufacture double weight fiber base papers in Switzerland?

As far as I understand it, LUPEX contact printing paper has just been coated in the ex-Ilford Marly plant in Switzerland. I also believe what they said is that Polywarmtone is also being coated at Marly. MCC fiber paper will be higher volume and run on the bigger line at Bad Saarow, Germany (ex-Agfa Leverkusen equipment involved) which they are currently bringing online in their own factory they built from the ground up. Mirko last posted on the blog that they are doing test runs of MCC at Bad Saarow as of a month ago.

Dear Team Adox,
If I ask you nicely would it be possible to once again produce and distribute Adox Color Implosion?
It is missed by many, and I’m fairly confident you could sell as much as you could make.
Pretty please!

We can really understand your love for the Color Implosion. We've loved it, too .
It was really a very special film, both because of the characteristics, and its production. Unfortunately it had to be one unique single production / coating run. It cannot be repeated. It is extremely unlikely to design a new film with the exact same characteristics again in today's production environment.

I just saw that there's now no expected date when the paper will be for sale, is this just more delay with the boxes? Any idea when it will be ready to ship? Thanks.

Thank you for replying, Team ADOX.
I’m not totally surprised by your reply, and I understand why.
Unusual films such as Adox Color Implosion are a joy to use, partly due to the surprises they create which for me adds to the joy of using the analogue process.
On a bright side I still have one roll of Color Implosion remaining in my fridge, waiting for the right opportunity.

Yes, unfortunately there is currently a delay with the cardboard boxes for LUPEX. We are waiting for the shipment and arrival of the new boxes in our factory. At the moment we cannot give a definitive appointment.

I feel for you guys, when we launched our first product with my startup, getting the packaging right was more complex than the CE certifications (and I wish I was kidding!)

As promised we have evaluated and calculated whether a special run of ADOX LUPEX in format of 4x5" would be possible. And we have decided to do such a special confectioning run for those customers who have recently asked for it.
It will take place when the shipment of the new boxes arrives. Please stay tuned.

Good day! In autumn I saw ADOX CMS 20 II 4x5 film on sale in packs of 50 sheets. The price per sheet was very attractive, but now it is not even in the catalog. Tell me please, is there a future release in such a package?
