For what it's worth, my 7 boxes of LF and ULF CHS II shipped within days, even though they were marked as out of stock. No idea about paper but at least the film part of ADOX seems to be very active.

I think Mirro mentioned that they do more or less cut large sheet sizes when they get an order for that size. which a small factory where many things are done by hand can do.

We are working extremely hard on bringing LUPEX and MCC back to the market, and Polywarmtone onto the market. Fortunately we have just recently succeeded with LUPEX: The coating run went well. We are currently waiting on the shipment of the new boxes. When they arrive, we can cut and package the paper, and it will be available for our customers again. That will probably be the case in some weeks.
With Polywarmtone and MCC all the needed tests and R&D are continuing. Design and production of such complicated and sophisticated silver-halide products is extremely difficult and complex. And as a very young "start-up" we only have a very small team of chemists and engineers. So please be patient.
Your support and loyalty is really very appreciated! Thank you very much!

I'm in on the Lupex, 8x10 and 11x14. Any chance of a annual special size run? I would love to see 4x5 inch sheets packaged in 50 sheet boxes. Kodak used to make a special holiday greeting card size with litho negative masks and a window to place your 6x9 negative. That size maybe too much to ask, but a 4x5 cut sheet that would make for easy 4x5 contact prints where you can see the notches etc.
Anyway no substitute for the blacks of chloride paper. And definitely no substitute for a great contact print.

This is great news!
I've been waiting with baited breath to get my hands on more MCC paper, as well as their new coatings, and hope to get my hands on it as soon as it is available. Loving the chemistry, just need the paper to match; thanks Adox for keeping this Agfa fan, happy - I only wish we had a supplier here in Australia that was willing to stock the full range of products . . .

Nanette,
thank you very much for your support.
Improving our international distribution will be be one of our targets in the short and mid term. And we will definitely have a look on the situation in Australia.

I do remember an article in a photography magazine (maybe a year ago?) about Lina Bessanova visiting the coating facility and getting presented with the “first box” of Polywarmtone.
That article left me with the impression, that Polywarmtone should have hit the market quite some time ago, as everything was ready and coating had started.
So what is missing for the long awaited Polywarmtone relaunch? People are eager to buy ...

The test coating run you are referring to was very good. But not yet as good as we want it to be. Therefore we are currently working on further quality improvements, with the intention of creating an absolute top-quality high-tech product.

I am still hoping for the B&W reversal kit. Unfortunately, I have heard rumors that mounts for 35mm slides are now in short supply. Hopefully, that doesn't work against B&W reversal chemistry.

Our new ADOX Scala BW reversal kit is coming soon, in the next weeks.
And slide mounts for 35mm are no problem at all, several manufacturers are producing them.

I really want to shoot their films but so few are available in 120. I may opt for the 5x7 though. I do hope they work out their supply issues, because they have a lot of interesting products to offer.

We are very hard working on medium format (120) film converting. It is one of our main priorities. But it is also one of the most difficult and complicated projects we have. Production of 120 film is really very complicated - at least if you you want high quality. And that is what we want.
Because of all the numerous challenges on different levels it is unlikely that we can offer 120 in the short term. But we hope to offer it in the mid term.

How much 4x5" sheets of LUPEX do you need?

ADOX - Innovation in Analog Photography.
Well that's a loaded question. Sounds like you are actually responding to a customer request, how unusual . Let me think. In a perfect world a box of 250 sheets in 4x5 and 5x7 would be available.
My favorite paper of all time was Kodak Ektalure, I would buy the lovely G surface in 5x7 250 sheet boxes. I would copy old photos for people, they loved getting prints that looked like the original, not PE based. Polywarmtone was an Ektalure substitute for me. PWT the original had a huge increase in density on drydown, and the crazy, but beautiful split toning was a almost defect, but when mastered is amazing.
Roll paper is of interest to me as well, but obviously slitting and chopping up sheets is a different kind of task.
I have a 8x10 Deardorff with 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 backs contact prints are simply the best.

ANSWER TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION 100 TO 250 SHEETS. I HAVE A FROZEN STOCK OF FOMALUX. BUT IT'S ALL 8X10 AND 11X14. I THINK THAT CONTACT PRINTING IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE CAN DO. GET AWAY FROM SCANNING NEGATIVES. MOST LF FOLKS HAVE A 4X5, I WOULD THINK 4X5 PAPER WOULD MAKE SENSE.
Maybe get the Silver grain magazine to do a proper article on contact printing ???
DOWN THE ROAD WE CAN RESURRECT PROPER POSTCARD CAMERAS 3 1/2 × 5 1/2 INCHES. YOU COULD RULE THE MARKET:D

Pre printed postcard backs like the old Azo and Kruxo. It was all the rage in the 1920's

when producing 120(61.5mm) you could at the same time offer 30m rolls. so we could cut 220 or longer rolls. assembling 220 not that difficult. Maybe too much asked. 120 much more important. one could stitch also 2x 120.

I put this question to ADOX a few years ago and Mirco answered that 220 film require a special anti-scratch coating on the back side as it is not protected by the backing paper. Perhaps a coating on all 120/220 film could solve this but it may be a litle complicated and the cost may increase.

@mshchem :
So you need at least 100 sheets of 4x5". We will look into it with our confectioning engineer whether it may be possible. We will reply when we have a definite answer, please stay tuned.

Thanks, this is an area where Adox could have a distinct difference from others. I have used big shears in a former employer's print shop. We turned out all the lights, used the red "Exit" signs for safelighting. In about 10 minutes we cut 100 sheets of DW Azo F2 11 x 14 into 800 3 1/2 × 5 1/2 postcard size. We didn't face the challenges a company like Adox would, we didn't have to package etc. We had a free skilled person and free enormous shear.
I know people say that they wish they had something, but fail to come through, when it is offered. I just think that 4x5 makes sense. Back in the old days Velox was available in common negative sizes. I have old envelopes from the 1940s -50's of prints returned from the drugstore, 6x9 negatives cut into singles along with nice prints with borders. Maybe make some 3D printed print frames???

Honestly I'd love bulk size 120 (62mm) film. I can definitely understand how creating a machine and sourcing good quality backing paper would be a problem for the manufacturing of 120 film... but it's also surprisingly not too terrible to cut 120 width film to length and attach it to some recycled backing paper, at least when talking about for personal use and assuming you have a darkroom with a good flat surface. I've done the entire thing with cutting a big roll of ortho litho, but the problem there is that precision needed on the 62mm +/- 0.5mm width, also dust and the fragile nature of ortho litho stuff when dealing with hand cutting. In comparison to all that, stuffing the film into 120 backing paper was a breeze.

Our new ADOX Scala BW reversal kit is coming soon, in the next weeks.

With Adox Silvermax/Scala being not produced anymore (and available while stocks last), will the kit be usable with other films?

I'd like 100 sheets of 5x4 too. Maybe if it was possible you could do a special order thread here as more people might want a box too?

Assembling own 220 not too difficult? Possible, but it's far more challenging than own 120 as leader and trailer paper must be attached perfectly square to film.

I haven't seen it in stock since earlier this year, Firstcall, where Ib get all my paper from, has none in stock, they do say coming soon, I used a lot of the Adox MCC paper, and I got the last box that was in stock in in January, and when I asked them about further stocks they said that as soon as it was available they would get more, it was on order, but they were waiting on Adox, at AG it is said to be out of stock, also Silverprint has it as waiting for further supplies, sad, it was indeed a lovely paper, but hopefully it will be back, also I doubt that the Covid situation is helping with Lockdowns Ect, maybe next year? In the meantime there is always Foma paper, good range in both FB and RC, easily a match for Ilford and Adox
the word 'soon' is used too often when it comes to analog product announcements;makes me feel doubtful.

Firstcall have just listed as new Adox MCP in 12/16, where it comes from I don't know, but I have bought pretty much all my chemistry and paper from them ever since they opened, but time will tell, but they are not currently listing any other Adox paper, maybe they know something we don't

@Team ADOX Is one who is likely to comment on this soon enough. Seems to me heavy speculations for no reason. And let me add, if you have an Adox related question, just ask them directly. They seem very responsive and do cater answers directly to individuals.

I can't seem to find Adox Easy Print paper anywhere, is Adox still producing it?

Easy Print wasn't our own original product, it was produced by a partner company for us. This cooperation has ended. It would also not be possible to produce this paper anymore at the former price level.

Also, what's the perspective regarding the RA4 kit? I've just started printing and the Adox kit is really convenient, it would be really nice if there was color paper available again from Adox, cut down from rolls.

The ADOX RA-4 is in production and also in stock at our global distributor Fotoimpex. It is planned to offer the color paper again.
