Does anyone know what is going on with Adox? Their website doesn't seem to have had any update for half a year or so and I am hoping their efforts to move production to more viable sites for the MCC paper and the long awaited Polywarmtone revamp are going well. I signed up for the newsletter but have not received anything yet nor can I see any contact details on the site or I would have asked there. I see fotoimpex has no stock of any paper at all though one variety (the silver chloride contact print paper) may be coming later this month. I take this as a hopeful sign but would love more concrete information if anyone can share it.
Otherwise it looks like Ilford will become a monopoly in the near future and with two price rises this year it's worrying...

I haven't seen it in stock since earlier this year, Firstcall, where Ib get all my paper from, has none in stock, they do say coming soon, I used a lot of the Adox MCC paper, and I got the last box that was in stock in in January, and when I asked them about further stocks they said that as soon as it was available they would get more, it was on order, but they were waiting on Adox, at AG it is said to be out of stock, also Silverprint has it as waiting for further supplies, sad, it was indeed a lovely paper, but hopefully it will be back, also I doubt that the Covid situation is helping with Lockdowns Ect, maybe next year? In the meantime there is always Foma paper, good range in both FB and RC, easily a match for Ilford and Adox

It has been quiet for some time, but there was a sign of hope a few days ago ( nov. 1:st ) on ADOX web-page. It seems like the Lupex paper is coming back and that they are making testruns in Bad Saarow ( Berlin ) with MCC .
I enclose a link to the site and look at the bottom of the text under the picture. Thats where the update is. I have written a question on the users forum for Fotoimpex ( FOTOLABORFORUM ) but so far no reaction.
As R.Could wrote , the covid situation is complicating everything. Let's wait and hope.

I do hope it gets going again soon as I am very fond of a number of their products. Someone mentioned that Ilford was providing the base for Adox's paper which leaves me wondering whether the will is there to keep a competitor in business...Nowadays the market is, I hear, quite solid but that is not a sure thing for the longer term. Stock up and get printing is my plan!

with the coater in Switzerland they are wanting to do their paper in house, But I suspect that the COVID thing may be making travel between Germany and Switzerland a touch more complex. that and the well known problems that every coater is different enough to any other that the MCC, which was coated at AGFA Leverkusin, may need some tweaks to work well at Marley.

Adox already had their Agfa-paper clones toll-manufactured on two other coating-machines at two manufacturers before.

Well in their announcement they say that they are bringing production here in CH. With current restrictions I think people from DE can come but will have to quarantine to go back. But I would suppose the factory here is run by local staff.

I just ordered 50 sheets of 7x17 film from Fotoimpex that was marked as no in stock. Let's see how quickly it comes in from the supplier.

I thought they've been cooperating with Inoviscoat only on this matter, who was the other one?

We are working extremely hard on bringing LUPEX and MCC back to the market, and Polywarmtone onto the market. Fortunately we have just recently succeeded with LUPEX: The coating run went well. We are currently waiting on the shipment of the new boxes. When they arrive, we can cut and package the paper, and it will be available for our customers again. That will probably be the case in some weeks.
With Polywarmtone and MCC all the needed tests and R&D are continuing. Design and production of such complicated and sophisticated silver-halide products is extremely difficult and complex. And as a very young "start-up" we only have a very small team of chemists and engineers. So please be patient.
Your support and loyalty is really very appreciated! Thank you very much!

That is not true what you have heard. No photo paper manufacturer is producing the paper base by his own. The paper base is produced by specialised paper manufacturers.

Excellent news. Please keep us updated on progress! I look forward to getting some MCC under my Focomats before long.

This is great news!
I've been waiting with baited breath to get my hands on more MCC paper, as well as their new coatings, and hope to get my hands on it as soon as it is available. Loving the chemistry, just need the paper to match; thanks Adox for keeping this Agfa fan, happy - I only wish we had a supplier here in Australia that was willing to stock the full range of products . . .

We are working extremely hard on bringing LUPEX and MCC back to the market, and Polywarmtone onto the market.

I do remember an article in a photography magazine (maybe a year ago?) about Lina Bessanova visiting the coating facility and getting presented with the “first box” of Polywarmtone.

That article left me with the impression, that Polywarmtone should have hit the market quite some time ago, as everything was ready and coating had started.

So what is missing for the long awaited Polywarmtone relaunch? People are eager to buy ...

I really want to shoot their films but so few are available in 120. I may opt for the 5x7 though. I do hope they work out their supply issues, because they have a lot of interesting products to offer.

I am still hoping for the B&W reversal kit. Unfortunately, I have heard rumors that mounts for 35mm slides are now in short supply. Hopefully, that doesn't work against B&W reversal chemistry.

I expect anyone with a 3D printer can make all the 2x2 slide mounts they want -- in whatever film format is needed. A common size of printer should be able to make 9 or 16 mount halves in a single run, and there isn't that much plastic, so they'll print fairly quickly.
