Adox CHM 400 in Rodinal 1+25 --> low contrast?

So, the test is done. Now I am thinking - this base fog is there, even on FP4+, that I did not noticed in the first time, probably because FP4+ has higher contrast.
Could it be that this is because of X rays in airport? Film did travel from Hamburg - Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur - Brunei, and back.
I did used 3 different cameras (Nikon F100, Leica Minilux, Fujifilm P&S), all showing same results.

airport scanner certainly looking the culprit.

i think lesson here for all of us is - if you travel then do a clip test of leader in fixer first to test for fogging.

Yeah, too bad that there's not a better way to scan people at the airport. I'm a snapshot guy when traveling by plane. I carry a smaller digital. A couple years back we did a nice trip to Yellowstone, Tetons, Black Hills and environs. It was a LOT of driving, but so nice to not have to go through airports.
I shot a bunch of Fujichrome. Came out great.

For me airports are connected with photography. I travel a lot on business, and 90% of all photos that I make are those when traveling.
Well, I should avoid iso 400 if possible, on the end the films were not totally destroyed, still usable. Or I will also look for some X-ray safe bags - that could be the way to go.

X-ray safe bags

Bad news - they're not going to help. Firstly, they don't block enough xray to begin with with these new CT scanners. Moreover, if something quasi-xray opaque is encountered, the machine or its operator will bump up the radiation intensity to look through it anyway. Xray 'safe' bags are a waste of money and only weigh you down.

yes they just need longer development to compensate.
