That's cool. I wouldn't spend my money with such a vendor either but, do we really
know that this guy is who he says he is? Better yet, do any of us really
know anything for sure about this whole transaction? I submit, we do not know the whole truth. I don't really believe we've heard the full story from either side (and frankly, I do not care to). We do not really know for sure that this person who claims to work for Adorama is actually who he says he is. Even if the person is in fact the actual customer service representative who handled this complaint, as I believe he claimed, his statements may or may not represent the company's position. Maybe he'll be fired next week over this. We don't really even know for certain if the originator of this post actually ordered and received expired film from Adorama....I do not doubt that there is some truth to be found in this thread, but, I seriously doubt that we're getting all of the facts and even if we were, there is really no way for any of us to verify any of this. Heck, one admittedly, extreme and unlikely possibliltiy is that both sides of this story are being played by one person, maybe someone who has an axe to grind with Adorama. Maybe, a direct competitor (OK, I know this is even more unlikely but, makes ya think -- doesn't it?)
Please, let us each base our decision to do, or not to do business with Adorama upon the facts available to each of us. Review your own personal experience, evalute the
FACTS available to you. Make your own, rational decision based upon fact, not upon an internet rant.
Personally, I have decided to continue to buy from Adorama because, in a nut shell, all of my personal transactions with Adorama have been completely satisfactory. Sure, they have made mistakes but they've always quickly remedied the situation to my complete satisfaction.
