John looks great, glad its finally done so you can concentrate on making prints rather than construction, I know exactly how you must feel. The lambda is one week away and everything is in place.
How do I put the enter the 5K competition at the bottom of each post?

John It looks very good lots of room well laid out , room to grow. What I did not see was the beer fridge.
way to go

You can't have a Union Jack and a beer freezer in the same room - it's against the fundamental laws of the universe - something terrible would happen to the basic fabric of the space/time continuum...

How about warm beer and the Union Jack? That works, no?

Oh yes. 65F (or 18 for us) is about perfect after a hard day over the fixer.

BTW MrC your darkroom brings back wonderful memories (probably long after you started). +5 C and -10M color corrections and resisting the urge to pull prints out of the outfeed of the color processor.
The most challenging times of learning about photogrpahy that I can remember. Mucho respecto.

In another lifetime I think I had that same Hope processor. I printed up to 24x30 color prints with it.

My problem was it oxidized quickly if not enough prints went through it.

Is that what it is, a Hope 24 inch?

Nice setup by the way.

It is a 26" hope. I plan on running for 3 days a week, dump or store the chems at the end of the 3 days and cleanout the proccessor. This should avoid oxidation issues, but be somewhat wasteful. I don't want to have chemistry sitting in it 24/7 (the smell would be too much).

Correct temperature is dependent on the beer, guys; generally, beer should be served at the same temperature it was brewed. English and most European beers, yeah, 15-18 C is about right. Most American beers are best at 5 C or a little lower -- some would say, so you can't taste how bad they are, but even the good ones are brewed cold here, for the most part (with a few exceptions like Anchor Steam). And a few of the so-called "ice brewed" beers are actually best just above freezing.

Nothing wrong with having a beer fridge next to a Union Jack, as long as there's no Watney's or Guiness in it.

There is a beer house nearby with about 50 taps. Their slogan: "No Lite, Ice or Rice"

Which means that none of the big american 'brews' are served there.

It is as much the table as it is the enlarger, but I'm only going to be making small (11"x16")prints to start with. I did do a 24"x30" and there was plenty of room to go larger.
